Built into the G13 is a high quality analog pot. This is tied to digital keys by the software/driver.
When are we going to get the analog support out of this device as advertised. The G13 is a solid device but imagine my frustration and surprise when I realized the relatively expensive analog stick is being repurposed as cheap digital keys in software. Why? ... And when will this be fixed?
I want real analog support. PLEASE
EDIT: I also understand the G13 may work as an analog device already and that I may have been a blind idiot and missed some setting or profile setting. Please prove that to me.

I searched before and nothing came up. Did a google search for "G13 analog fix" and hit this thread. Specifically, this post
http://forums.logitech.com/logitech/board/message?
answers me somewhat. I'd love to know when. I cannot understand why someone would include a pretty decent piece of analog hardware then cripple it. An yes, it IS crippled. The device is not interpreted as an analog device as advertised and a 4 way hat would have been cheaper to implement in hardware. A lot of people purchased the device because they wanted to replace a cheaper built competitor. I still use the G13 because the other hardware I have that DOES work as advertised is still just too cheap feeling. I'd have more fun with the G13 if it were implemented as advertised.
Not bashing... but I'm about to start begging. This is the best pad with an analog stick on it but without the proper implementation, it falls a little short.

Thank you Charles,
Knowing that its being worked on is enough for me, and hopefuly most others. I look forward to it.
EDIT: That hack doesnt work for me since the virtual driver required does not work on x64. I knew about the work around but it's just impractical. I was going to write a small directinput like driver but then theres a signing issue to work around... better just leave it to the devs at this point ![]()
Thanks again.

Hi, sorry to revive a dead thread, but before I buy a G13 I'd like to confirm that the joystick can be used as a proper analog joystick, and that it is no longer limited to sending digital keystrokes. Judging from this support page it seems like this issue is fixed, but I'd like to be sure.

yes, using recent releases of the software you have 3 choices for the thumbstick:
1. function as a 4-way digital joystick (aka D-pad) plus 1 button (8-way if you count diagonals)
2. function as a DirectInput analog 2-axis 1-button joystick
3. function as a mouse controller
-ken
I do not work for Logitech. I'm just a user.
