You can bind mouse clicks to those two buttons you mentioned and to any other G key on the G13 
Also, you can bind the camera to the stick. What game are you thinking of?
I'm about to start playing Shogun 2 and, for example, you can bind arrows to the stick to move the camera. That works.

This is what i like to use for BFBC3. I bind middle mouse to grenade,mouse 2 to gadget 1, mouse 3 to gadget 2
keboard Y,U,I are used for chat all,team, squad.
Sorry it's kind of hard to see, but as you can probably tell I don't use the standard wasd keys as they are defaulted in most fps games. I had this key config for over 10 years and just haven't felt like trying to steer my self towards the defaults. I use this mostly cause i have big hands and don't like to feel like my fingers are all cramped together. Although that is with the exception of the pinky finger..... and is why i have the esc and tab (score) keys closer to my movement keys.

Sorry for the delay, I've been offline for almost all the weekend.
You can actually bind "joystick" or "mouse" to the G13's stick. Just click on any of the stick's slots and pick "assign mouse". Well, at least that's what says the Spanish version Perhaps the English one is different but the mechanic should be the same.
Also, you can create a Lua script that uses the stick as a camera by assigning mouse pointer movements. I never tried this before but I think it's possible.
