G-Series Gaming Keyboards

Hello there,

I recently just upgraded the LGS Software to version 8.20.74, and the G keys have stopped functioning on my g13. I can still record macros, and the key presses are being detected in the 'test profile' window, but they are not functioning anywhere else, be it in game or just in windows.

So far I have tried restarting my computer, reconnecting the G13 and reinstalling the software, but this has proven fruitless.

Is there any way of fixing this issue, or failing that, where can I find previous versions of LGS to download?

If it helps, I'm currently running Windows 7 64bit. I also have a G110 keyboard and a G700 mouse, if they could be causing any issues?

You could try running the Logitech Gaming Software as administrator.

Your other gaming devices would not be the cause of the issue. You can download the GamePanel Software (Legacy) from the link below.

It sounds like the profile is not active in the programs you want to use it in.  You could try to make the profile persistent as a way to test it.

I have seen this problem ever since 8.20.74 but with my G19  until today 6/4/2012.

I have always ran with just the Gaming panel software on this system and nothing for the logitech mouse.

I  could no longer stand not being able  to use all my nice macros.

So I started experimenting by moving the keyboard to another system that had the G13 on it. It worked fine.

But the G13 did not worked has expected on this system.

I put everything back the way it was. Then this morning started to examine the processes that were running from logitech.

The only thing that was different was the other system was running SetPoint Event manager(Unicode).

I loaded the SetPoint software on this system and so far the macros are working.

The only strange thing is I have 4 systems, One of the other 3 does not have the afore mention software and the g13 works fine, with 8.20.74. But I have a logitech webcam on it.

I tried running  the G13 with my G19 the other day and only one showed up with the Gaming Panel Software running and that was the G13.

I have 2 systems that run 8.20.74 with G13  but I have one that runs the Legacy version  3.06, there must be something  in that system that dislikes 8.20.74.

I wonder if there anything that other Logitech software loads and the GPS (Gaming Panel Software ) uses if it is there and does not complain if it is not.

Logi, if you are stil having problems  just try loading the 64bit version of logitech software for your mouse to see if you problem goes away.

It really looks like profile problem to me.

Maybe you can try LGS 8.30

It turns out waiting for 8.3 did resolve the issue after all.
