Hey All ,

Not sure if you are interested, I just had the missfortune of installing the new game panel software and losing all of my profiles.

Luckily looking into it, the new software does not delete the old ones, it just does not understand them. They should still be in your AppData\Local\Logitech\G-series Software\Keyboard\Profiles directory on your pc. There are a bunch of files with .lgp extension which are the old ones.

I have written a small utility to convert the old format to the new ones. You can download it from: https://rapidshare.com/files/458666533/G13ProfileConverter.zip

If you want to use it.

It is very easy to use, extract the 3 files in the zip anywhere on your pc, ensure the exe and xml files are in the same directory, Launch the exe, browse to the profile directory and click convert.

I have only tested this on my G13 profiles, if it does not work on you profiles post them here and I will have a look.

It may work on other G series profiles but I don't have them to test.

NOTE: You must close the "Logitech Gaming Software" before you run the convert, otherwise the Logitech software over writes them.

it is an alpha version to write, "read", parse Profiles to lua, read out and convert quickmacros ... (on the fly) ...

but i do support only up to 3.06. so this conversion algorythm would suite me too. its done with autoIT ...

Mine is 3.x to 7.x, was pretty simple though, will look at doing it the other way tomorrow (so 7.x to 3.x).

since i dont want to install 7.x i dont know how the xml-syntax looks like there ..

did you find the info on the web (if so link would be great) or did you just compare the syntax from both versions?

@h0rse I have update the first post with a new version. It now converts from 7.x to 3.x or 3.x to 7.x.

yes, unfortunately it is and somehow i lost my copy of it ... :-(

i may come up with something similar soon, but its still in the making.
