G15/G9x World of Warcraft

Hey,

I have a feeling that this will be a fairly simple question or one that might not be possible for me to complete at all. I would type in a search although I dont know exactly what I would type to find what I'm looking for so figured I'd start with a post.

I play World of Warcraft and I key-bind all of my abilities. I want to be able to bind my strafing abilities to my mouse wheel tilt. When I try to bind them through the key-binding interface it's as if mouse-wheel tilt isn't an option. So, I was thinking that I could mask it by somehow binding my mouse wheel tilt outside of the game to another random key that I don't normally use.

Is this possible and how would I go about doing it?

you might need to script this... since it isnt really a G15/19 issue but more a mouse function...

or maybe if you can bind your mouse-wheel-tilt to a key (that you dont use) change wow strafing controls to those keys...

if the above doenst work or isnt an option, you might have to script it but i dont know if the mouse-wheel-tilt is an event that can trigger a function in LUA, if it is, you can script it to strafe <if event is mouse-wheel-tilt-right> or something, dont know anything about LUA

*EDIT*

i thought the title was G15/19... but it is G15/G9x... my bad im a bit dyslectic :smileytongue:

anyway, if there is a way to define functions on that mice, mouse, whatever :smileytongue: but then you can do the first option... if not... ask a scripter :smileytongue: i recomend White--Hawk or h0rse

q and e are default left and right straf.

open logitech set point, go to the profile manager, hit the option to switch profiles with application detection,in the profiles library hit new and  create a profile, (i named it WoW).

in the upper left the profile should now say WoW hit the button for application detection (above the profiles library) and add your application (wow.exe) hit apply.

now, in the upper left, it should still say profile = WoW, select "buttons", you want buttons 6 and 7, left scroll and right scroll.  select button 6 left scroll and hit the drop down menu on the right, at the very top is the option for keystroke. set it to q. hit apply, select button 7 set it to keystroke e, hit apply.

if you where wanting to use q and e as spell binds, you can use modifer keys like ctrl, alt, shift or ctrl+alt, alt+shift etc. rebind in wow first, then make the corisponding changes in setpoint (the above q and e become alt+shift+q and alt+shift+e or what ever you set them as)

hit basics and select a different LED color if you want ( i would just so i know it is selecting it like it is supposed to) (hit apply)

if you have custom dpi levels or other settings make them here.

if you want to save it to the mouse, go back to the profile manager and hit the button for onboard memory. select your new profile (WoW) and hit save.
