Hi there. I'm having a bit of a problem with my G15 keyboard, and hopefully someone here will be able to help me with it.
This normally happens while playing games, but has on occasion happened while browsing the internet. The keyboard will stop working for no apparent reason. The LCD screen will go blank, and all of the back lights on keys except for the numlock indicator will turn off. Unplugging the keyboard and plugging it back in has no effect. I've tried various USB slots and none have different results. Every now and then, the keyboard may appear to be working, all of the lights come back on, and the LCD starts functioning again, but the keys will remain unresponsive.
I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers for win 7 64-bit from the logitech site. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling them. So I don't think that that is the problem. This keyboard worked perfectly on my previous hardware set up, which I upgraded (CPU, mobo and RAM) a few days ago. Since the upgrade, this has started happening.
Two things I have noted, in the device manager. First, there are three visible keyboards in my device manager. All titled HID Keyboard Device. In the properties for them, the first says Location: On Logitech Gaming Virtual Keyboard, while the other two say Location: on USB Input device (this is the only difference I can find between these three). The other thing I found, while it stopped responding while browsing the internet, was in the properties, under the hardware tab. There was an error on the USB Composite Device. The message was The device cannot start (code 10). I've tried googling this, but wasn't able to find anything suggesting what this was, or how to fix it.
