G-Series Gaming Keyboards

I using a laptop HP Pavilion Dv6 1030us. I'm running multiple OSs. I had it plug to a "hub" at first. I turned on the computer and I could use the keyboard for a breif period (Just for selecting the OS). I load up Windows 7 and the keyboard didn't work. It in fact cause my laptop keyboard to not work for a short period. It's all lit up, if I press "num lock" on my laptop it'll light up the G15. I installed the software without a problem. I can press the M1 and M2 and it'll change. The LCD buttons work. The Brightness buttons work. The hubs on the back worked fine on 7, but not so well on Vista. Nothing else works.

Also note that the only G keys that work are G1, 4, 5, 6

I unplugged it and restarted 7 and plug it in after it finished loading. I waiting for "Installing driver software..."

are you having problems in Win7 or Vista? or both?   same problem in each or different? with win7 did you install using compatibility mode or did you edit the installer?

I've determined that thekeyboard is DOA. Windows see the LCD screen but not the keyboard itself. "powerseller" fail to ship it within another box. Got damage on the way. Shocked the inside of the keyboard somehow.

To answer your question, if you read above I stated that all 3 OSs were giving me to the same problem. Anyway case closed.

I'll never trust another powerseller. This is the 3rd and last time.

you described problems in both OSs but didnt exactly say that it was the same problems in both.   you mentioned ONLY win7 for the first bit and only mentioned Vista in the last part.

anyway like you said problem solved.  try to call logitech customer support for a replacement and keep quiet about the whole improperly shipped part.

oh lol that's the people I got it from problem "full refund" and I'm gonna get another from somewhere else with exact shipping instructions (usps fail) ups ftw
