No luck with that Windows update. It was already installed.

I also tried the usb hub power saving options. still no good.

Just tried plugging in the power to the keyboard now and it seemed to come up ok at first:

1. LCD lit up as keyboard booted

2. LCD showed program list and all key backlighting came on

3. Tried to select a program, but those keys are non-responsive

4. After about 30 seconds the backlighting started flickering, the macro profile keys went from M1 to M3 and MR.

5. It changed from profile 1 to 2 to 3 (I could tell by the backlight color)

6. Random keypresses started registering, without me touching the keyboard (in firefox, F11 was registered to make the web page area of firefox go full screen, and F12 was registered to bring firebug up) (it has also happened that about 10 occurences of windows explorer search was brought up without my input.

Does my keyboard sound like it has defective hardware, or could this still be a software issue?

tried yet again. I had let my keyboard rest for a few days

disabled ehci handoff, disable legacy usb, plugged keyboard power in, booted windows, soft reboot, logged in.

backlighting worked. d-pad and g-keys didn't work. i could select profiles using software, but not m1, m2 or m3.

i was playing FEAR and i got such a bad crash - i had to manually power off then cut the power for 5 min, before i was able to even boot again. zapped the bios - had to reenter all the values (thankfully it uses a backup bios.

i am on beta bios, but the only other contributing reason i can think of is that random keypresses started registering in-game, and the system didn't like it.

pull the keyboard power, and after i was able to boot again, i played for a couple hours no problems.

I think it's pretty ridiculous what's going on..

theres a thread with 60 pages that's being closed because the issue is resolved, or can be limited to those specifice chipsets. which is a pile of bull - nothing is resolved

the next step is trying to put this on manufacturers of motherboards, graphics cards, blaming it on how the internal wiring is being done. its pathetic.

the only keyboard that has this problem is the G19, and I can tell you 1 thing: im not going to buy a computer so i can get this crap keyboard to work. thats not how the world turns. Ive been waiting for a solution for this problem for a half year now, checking back after a few months of absence draws a disgusting picture of a company who wont take responsability for the mistakes theyve made.

Its way to late to return this piece of crap keyboard. I'm also using a Logitech Speaker system, and have used a lot of other really good logitech products in the past. But the fact that you cant take responsability for your own product, and blame everyone else but yourself for the bug thats ONLY PRESENT IN YOUR KEYBOARD is going a step too far.

Over the past few months, I had to tell many of my friends that are using the G15, that this new keyboard is a piece of  crap with no customer support behind it except for lies and slander. I will rephrain from purchasing ANY logitech products in the future. Everything has worked fine until now up to this dumb keyboard - but your response (no response) to this issue is the reason im turning my back to this company as a whole.

While you move this topic to the trash can, please take a moment to think about what a tool youve become, working for a company that cant take 60 pages of customer complaints seriously. And then go diaf

I AGREE with lancemon.

This is a lack of respect for consumers.
Logitech does not assume its errors and still blame the chipset and configuration of PC consumers.
It is possible that they do not have a team of developers capable of correcting a mistake that hangs almost a year.
With that I have to use a keyboard that cost me $ 200 and I can not use its functions, it would be easier to buy a keyboard for $ 15 that would be the same

lancemon - I closed the prior thread because it was a lot of data for people to go through, and people were (understandably) not reading through all of the posts to find the resolutions. The thread had a lot of constructive feedback and resolutions, but it was hard to go through them all.

There were also a large number of false positives. In one case of the customer claiming the G19 was causing issues on his computer, upon further troubleshooting, the problem was a bad RAM stick. In another instance (I'm not sure if this was in the thread or from a support case), the guy used a USB extension cable that made his cable longer than the USB spec, causing timing issues on his USB bus.

That being said, we did look into this, but since the problem was with how these motherboard/OS combinations handled USB 2.0 data transfer during periods of intense processing. Since then, not only have the reported fixes in the first post fixed a lot of people's problems, Microsoft has released an update for Windows 7 and nVidia motherboards that also appears to resolve the issue. I also have anecdotal reports that this same hotfix worked on an x58 motherboard experiencing this problem as well (Though, it was a friend that referenced this story of his personal setup to me, and I have not verified in house yet).

We spent a lot of time working with 3rd party companies to get these issues fixed, and some third parties have also put in time to improve their own products. Case in point, Gigabyte has released a new beta BIOS that appears to resolve G19 issues specific to their x58 motherboards

And, please read my original post: The issues that people see with the G19 can be replicated with ANY USB keyboard that's plugged into a USB 2.0 hub that's then plugged into your computer. The only reason the G19 pulled this problem to the surface was, because as far as I know, it's the only USB keyboard hardwired into a USB 2.0 hub.

So, I've checked your posts, and I couldn't find what motherboard/OS setup you have. Could you post that so we could take a stab at resolving the issue?

MestreSplinter - That's a part of what we would need to troubleshoot. To troubleshoot effectively, I would need to know your OS, a more complete listing of your system specs, and exactly what symptoms you're experiencing.

I currently have a problem with my G19 freezing every few seconds that I cannot resolve.  I have tried disabling the Handoff from Bios. I have installed the most recent bios and done the windows update to no avail. I have also tried disabling crossfire and that did not seem to do the trick. I have also noticed that the keyboard runs perfectly  in safe mode and doesn't freeze at all if that would help. Can someone else that is having freezing issues indicate if the keyboard works perfectly in safe mode and safe mode with networking. I only tried safe mode. So maybe if the freezing starts in safe mode with networking the problem could be due to internet connections. Seems unlikely but still throwing ideas around.

I have a G15 that runs with no problems and the mouse is not having any problem plus i have done an ad aware and Kaspersky scan so I know that there is no virus on the computer. I have also tried different ports and reinstalling the logitech drivers.I have tried the keyboard on my moms computer that runs Vista 64 bit for about a week and it ran without any problems so I know that the Keyboard is fine and the problems has to do with windows 7.

Any help to solve this prooooblem would be appreciated would
