There are sexeral things im going to say and this is to logitech engineers and developers.
I have bought a G19 recently at cost of £150 and a keyboard at that price compared to my previous keyboard (belkin 20 quid) i was expecting to plug it in and go 'WOW'. Yes i plugged it in and yes was impressed by its features but within the first few hours experiencing the same issues so many others have so basically i plug it in and go 'Oh' before i cover anything else this is a major failure on your part to disappoint so many on the most expensive gaming keyboard ove seen by such a good company.
Just to clarify i am a big fan of logitech and massively let down by this product as everything plugged into my computer with the exception of a sony home cinema system and the screens of course i was expecting the same level of brilliance i have from all the others. This is not the case.
First of all reading over the comments from techies on here the information is wrong it is not on those motherboards or just 64 bit. im running 7 32bit and i am experiencing massive cutouts and key lagging and putting in extra presses and general annoying problems.
I am also disappointed with logitechs way of passing the book the fact is people are paying alot of money for a box of problems they will have to sort out before they can benefit from it and until they do a 5 quid cordless board would be a better gaming keyboard than one that lags or cuts out.
The fault may not with the boards hardware itself however logitech if this problem is caused by too much usb traffic dyu not admit that the amount of traffic the keyboard sends through the usb is overloading the system thus shooting itself in the foot? if the keyboard is using alot of traffic is it not ur responsibility to write usb drivers or controllers u can byndle with the software for this board to prioritise the keyboard over everything else? im sure with your level of experstise u could fix this yourselves if u wanted too and this is an expensive piece of equipment. Yes other keyboards can have this problem with too much usb traffic but unlikely as most keyboards dnt tip the scales like this one does hence they are far more reliable and resilient.
If i cant fix this quickly i will return it and even if i do this is a ver big black mark on your name for me and i would consider changing my equipment to another manufacturer or buying elsewhere in future. Even if your customers give you the benefit of the doubt they are looking to you for support for help and they are bein disappointed again at the moment. Please resolve this or give us a sure fix for this problem. I am unsure what to do at the moment it seems that i will have to buy a whole separate usb pci card and run the keyboard on its own with nothing plugged into its own hub. Should i not get money off becuase i cannot use the keyboards built in hub which i paid for or a refund for the card ive had to buy to use the keyboard? The micrsoft update has not worked for me and i am now at a bit of a loss with what to do other than demand a refund so i can go and buy a gaming keyboard that will actually improve my gaming not hinder it.
Pls logitech help us all on this one it is the most expensive logictech product ive bought and the first one to have a problem let alone several.

Hey Bud
Can you please try something for me and tell me if this works. I called logitech and this was a suggestion and it seems to work for 99% of the cutouts.
Configure Selective Startup options

If this works then its one of your programs that is causing the issue and not the keyboard. If this is the case then you will have to go through all your programs and see if they are causing the issue. For me it was my WLAN AutoConfig. What I recommend to get better results is to plug your mouse into the keyboard and move the mouse side to side to see if it lags.
I reccommend everyone try this that is having cutouts and then post back if it works and what file is causing the lag for you. That way Logitech will have more information and might be able to solve this problem once and for all.
Thanks
Chris

Has anyone else had success with this? It seems tedious, but since there is nothing yet from Logitech I'm willing to give it a try.

I have a G19 connected to an ASUS M3N78-EM which has an AMD 780G chipset. I randomly get the repeating key issue whether the system is overclocked or not, stressed or not, or using any of the available fixes. I previously had this keyboard plugged into an ASUS x58 motherboard and it did not do this. As of right now I'm planning on buying an ASRock motherboard with a GeForce 8200 chipset because I use an nvidia video card anyway. I'll let you all know if this keyboard works on that chipset.

Hi, could you please elaborate in plain layman's term what you mean by "added a pair of USB ports off of 1 of the mobo's internal headers"? I have a Rampage II Extreme, no SLI or Crossfire though, which in terms of layout is similar to your P6T and have scratched my head for quite some time already but could not figure out how to replicate your solution. Thanks for your explanations.

Just managed to fix my keyboard.

Hi there,
If I understand you correclty, you used a Y usb cable to duplicate one of the motherboad's USB connectors and connected the G19 solely to one of the branch of the cable, leaving the other extension free. Then this is where I get lost, I can't make out your meaning about "2 USB ports feeding my G19". Furthermore, could you or someone explain to me how by duplicating a USB connector for a keyboard that needs only one, the magic happens and succeed to solve this bane? I'm certainly glad for you that the issue has been solved but before going out and buying this cable, I certainlay would like to have a modicum of understanding of how this solution works. Thanks for your time or anyone else who'd care to enlighten me about this fix.

.........umm
OK i'll have a try at explaining it for you.
The Y USB cable plugs into 2 ports at one end and 1 port at the other. This means you can have 1 device plugged into 2 ports. This is only ever done when the device requires more power than what 1 port can provide by itself. So essentially, it uses one port for power and data, and 1 port just for power.
A header on a mother board is a pin array that sticks out and can accept a cable to be connected to some/all of the pins. It can be used for various things like fan connectors, USB connectors, front panel connectors. Sometimes they have plastic supports, sometimes they are just bare pins. Fan headers almost always will have a plastic support fot the fan cable to clip onto so it wont come off by itself. If you look on your motherboard, you may see small groups of 9 pins, arranged like so:
+++++
++++
It may or may not have a coloured plastic rectangle around it to help identify it from other components. You can get a back panel that has extra USB ports, which can be plugged onto these USB headers. Each header can support 2 ports.
Be careful not to confuse them with IEEE1394 headers!!! Look for the small writing printed on the motherboard that identifies what each header is for or what each header is called. If you don't know what it's for, look up the header name in the manual.
