Have had my G19 ever since it came out, and its been collecting dust ever since

Was hopeing i would be able to use it someday.

Any new solutions for the 980a SLI chipset ?

My setup:

Asus M4N82 Deluxe BIOS : 1008

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Note: this MB dose not have an option to disable the EHCI Handoff.

Have tryed all, (updated drivers etc.), but still no luck.

Well I too have a G19 keyboard connected to a X58 rig running Windows 7 x64 and a SLI of GeForce. Though I have the G19 keyboard since it first came out, I started experiencing issues the day I changed the graphics subsystem : I went from a GTX 285 SLI to a GTX 480 SLI. I didn't experience any stuck key issue : however after a while Windows would sometime tells me a USB device was not recognized, or under heavy conditions (no OC) with the latest 3D games, the mouse would stop responding, while key strokes would intermitently work. I tried a lot of stuff : reinstalling from scratch, updating all drivers/BIOS, playing with EHCI and legacy settings, removing all other USB devices just to have the keyboard and the mouse, etc. With no luck. I even applied the Windows 7 patch for nForce system. Still no luck.

While another game session has ended due to this problem I decided to remove the G19 and replace it with a spare MX5500. No more issue now... I can play as long as I want with no interruption, and Windows doesn't whine for some unrecognized USB devices being suddenly unknow after a few hours of work.

So I guess the problem really lies within the G19 : there's something wrong in the way it handles the USB connection and for some reason the problem is being seen on Intel X58 chipsets for some reasons. Reasons that I don't understand because X58 is using ICH10 southbride just like P45, G45, or the new P55/H55/H57 chipsets : so assuming this is an Intel issue the problem should be repro on other motherboards.

In the end, there are two possibilities : Logitech can upgrade the firmware if they figure out what's wrong or the hardware implementation is faulty and then there's nothing to do... but keep the G19 away from X58 rigs

I have a striker II extreme. 790i chipset. My problem is with BFBC2. Its wierd. I also have slow boot up sometimes. When I try and load BFBC2 the game will freeze on the load screen . If I unplug the keyboard USB plug then plug it back in to the same port the game will boot up and work fine. If I use my Microsoft Wireless keyboard the game and windows loads fine. This is with a fresh Win 7 x64 load. I am on my second keyboard. So I confirmed its not the keyboard. It software or driver conflicts. i m also using the G9X mouse.

Would you happen to have an ATI Radeon graphics card ? I'm not sure your problem is related to the G19.... There's indeed an hotfix from ATI to correct slow boot up time in BFBC2.

Adding to my post from a few days ago, for people with M4A79 Deluxe motherboards with the latest BIOS version: it's the screensaver that seems to kill the keyboard. That's why it only dies when the computer is idle for a while. If I preview the screensaver from the Windows screensaver dialog, the keyboard display freezes for a few seconds before going black, after which the keyboard is dead until replugged, or the next reboot. Strangely, the monitor turning off due to power saving settings doesn't affect anything.

I was running a P6T-SE board and upgraded to the GA-X58A-UD7 and an Intel I7 980X. From the start the system would freeze as the bios (F6) began to load. I decided to unplug all of my USB devices just in case it wasn't the keyboard causing the problem. The system started normally with just the G19 plugged in. I then added the printer and the system started normally again. I then plugged the sensor in for my performance MX mouse and the system wouldn't start. I took it out and put in my old MX1100 and the system works fine. So after all the crap I have had it wasn't the keyboard but the blue tooth mouse sensor causing the problems.
