Does enabling/disabling PlugnPlay OS in the BIOS affect these problems at all? Can someone test?

Windows 7 x64
Guaranteed keyboard failure:
Boot PC
Load EVE Online
Undock

Failure (Keyboard turns off, windows plays device unplugged sound, keyboard on.. 30s later.. keyboard off.. doesnt turn back on)
I did just type an essay on all the problems I'm having but your stupid preview button decided to delete it.

Hi Charles,
I have the G19, and ASUS P6T Deluxe (BIOS is 2021, the latest from Feb, 2010)
I have tried setting EHCI Handoff to Enable/Disable, and USB Legacy Support to Enable/Disable.
I have tried connecting the G19 keyboard onto the following USB configuration,
1. Different rear USB ports from the back of motherboard, individually.
2. Two different USB 2.0 Hubs
- USB 2.0 Hub with default power from rear USB port without anything else plugged in.
- USB 2.0 Hub with extra power from an AC adapter, also without anything else plugged in.
I was able to see different behavior of symptoms but similar in general.
The symptoms were laggy behavior of keystrokes, as well as auto-backspace on its own were easily duplicated in Windows as well as BIOS and DOS. One configuration the backspace key didn't work at all.
I have seen this issue with an USB KVM that had the similar phenomenon previously but it only happened with certain older USB controllers.
I understand that it's not entirely Logitech's fault at this, but in order to fix this issue, Logitech needs to re-design the USB circuitry to ensure the best compatibility.
My suggestion is to use two USB connectors, one for USB keyboard's basic functionalities to ensure best and flawless operation even without the power from its AC adapter, and a 2nd USB connector for keyboard's HUB as well as peripheral operation such as LCD screen.
Since I am not able to get it to work under various of settings and configurations, I guess I can only return it although I liked the keyboard very much.
Thank you for your kindly attention on this.

Hey wwkman, the latest BIOS update for the ASUS P6T Deluxe is ver. 2101 (dated 02/24/2010), not 2021. Go check the ASUS support site at http://support.asus.com/ There's not much new in that BIOS, though you still might want to upgrade.
Anyways, I have the same motherboard as you (The P6T Deluxe) and I can confirm your observations. I've found that I get the best behavior out of my G19 by plugging it directly into a rear USB port with nothing plugged in next to it, and by using cable management to keep the cables as far away from each other as is feasible.
I agree that Logitech should have designed this product differently: The keyboard should be on it's own USB root-hub line, while the LCD plus the on-board USB hub should be on a separate root-hub line. I can see why they designed things the way they did: They wanted to have the product utilise just the one USB port because they didn't want to be accused of using up USB ports unnecessarily or overbuilding the thing. But you know what? Maybe they should have built a prototype that used two USB root-hub lines because the G19's single-USB line design obviously has issues.
Here's hoping the Logitech product development engineers will pay more attention to the quality control aspects of R&D in the future. They obviously missed something with the G19's development, that's for sure.
**sigh** I miss my original G15. Why the hell did Logitech have to discontinue that thing? It rocked. I spilled coffee on it, so it's death was my fault, not Logitech's. But still: It was awesome, even with a B&W monochrome display and no USB 2.0 support. It just worked! **sigh**

Dear CharlesB!
I,ve bought my G19 for 2 days ago. Everything worked fine, I've installed the driver from the support CD, checked if a new one per logitech update is, it was up to date. v3.03.x64. Then yesterday I played with crysis warhead wanted to quicksave with F5 and every lights and the display goes immediatedly off!! since everything is gone when I reboot the system, it appears on the display that the profiles are copying over the device please don`t remove it. Nothing happens it`s freezed! I*ve tried everything, reinstall the drivers, install the beta version from your support website(3.04 multilingual for win7), tried another usb port(backplate and frontports), another wallbracket for the AC adapter, set back my overclocking to it`s default value, disabled EHCI, disabled legacy USB support. It **bleep**! It doesn`t work at all.
Please help, I`m about to bring it back to the shop and buy something better stuff.
My OS is Win7 Ultimate x64

Does these problems exist or still exist with the G110 keyboard?

Sorry I've been away from this thread: I've had my actual day job here at Logi rear it's head (As well as I had my vacation somewhere in the middle of my hiatus), so I've had to concentrate on that lately. That being said, I'll answer some of the more recent posts:
Hadakajime- The G110 is built with the same design logic as the G19 with the hub being the system-facing portion, and the rest of the devices hardwired into the hub, so it may run into some of the same motherboard compatibility kerfluffles. It is more resistant to RF interference, though, because it does not have additional voltage flowing into it from a AC adapter.
Raus- I'd contact your local customer support team. They'll run through the steps to troubleshoot a situation like that.
wwkman and Sarge- The trick is that we had to make this keyboard USB-IF certified, so AFAIK, we had to follow the concept of a single USB connector to a USB2.0 hub, which had to be powered as per USB spec to put the USB 2.0 logo on the box, through which the rest of the device was connected.
The only surefire way to keep USB compliance and deal with these motherboard oddities is to remove the USB hub altogether, and as far as I know, we are not planning to strip that feature out of the G19. That doesn't mean we're ignoring the situation though, but we're not about to kneecap the G19 and take out one of the most requested features from all prior G-series keyboards (USB 2.0 hub instead of a 1.1 hub).

Hello, been reading this thread for some days now cause i got this same problem myself after i got myself a new mainboard some days ago.
I have the G110 Keyboard and i was using it on a Asus P5N-D mainboard wich worked just as it should be working. But later i got myself a Gigabyte EP45-UD3LR mainboard and thats when i got all the problems everyone else here have been having with theyr keyboard.
I tryed everything that was sugested with no luck, and after hours spent every day in this week i lost pations and bought a PCI-E controller card with USB 3.0 (This one)
Everything works fine now! The USB 3.0 card was cheap and i think it was worth it, cause i dont wanna stop using this awesome keyboard.

Would it be an option for Logitech to sell the G19, and other similar hardware that may cause these issues to arise, with an included PCI-E USB controller card?
Wouldn't that bring a lot more of the user environment/context under control of Logitech, making troubleshooting a lot easier?
I have a PCI-E USB3 card arriving today. Will test it out and post results later.
