Ok so I've spent a lot of time searching various forums and whatever else Google could throw at me, I can't find anywhere else that this issue has been posted (Direct me to someone else's thread if I've managed to miss it completely please).
I used to have a G15 till I managed to fill it with water, one of the very first made (best keyboard ever by the way), and when using it on Vista SP1 with WMP11 I would have it set to the media display applet full time since I'm usually facedown in some full screen applications. Sometimes, seemingly randomly, the applet would change to the next nearest one. I'm having exactly the same issue with my recently bought G19. It drives me to think this isn't an applet issue but more a windows media player/vista issue. I'm quite interested to see if anyone has a workaround or fix for it and this seems the best place to ask.
What it seems to be is that if a song takes a little time to change the applet will read no media playing and the software will automatically change the screen to an active applet instead. Not really a problem most of the time but when I'm skipping through 9000 songs to find the next one that hits my buttons I'm bound to hit this snag several times until then. The only workaround I've found is to turn off all other applets so it automatically switches back to the media display after being turned off for a split second.
Is there something I can tweak to slow down maybe how fast it checks to see if a song is playing or maybe a way to stop the media display becoming inactive when no songs play? Preferably the latter.
