G510 LCD clock is gone

Title says it all really.

The LCD Clock is nowhere to be found in the programs list of "Logitech LCD Manager" anymore. Puzzling, as I did not update or change anything to my knowledge.

Re: G510 LCD clock is gone

I started having the same problem with the LCD clock and Countdown Timer disappearing about a week ago (01 April 2012).  I have no idea what made them go away, but I did find a fix to get them back.

First go to the install folder:  C:\Program Files\Logitech\GamePanel Software\Applets

Now you should see a list of .exe files (These are all the apps that were installed).

Just open the files you want to have reinstall on your G510 (ex. LCDClock.exe, LCDCountdown.exe)

After that they should be back on your G510 keyboards LCD (and the Logitech LCD Manager program) like they were before.

[ Edited ]

Hi thanks for posting that!

Nice observation, that worked! (I'd like to press "accept as solution", but manually starting the applet is really a work-around).

Btw my problems with this is also recently, I guess about the same time as you  noticed it.

On a similar note (I suppose), I noticed the windows SideShow is also running, even if I have de-selected it in all columns of the LCD manager, as well as in the control panel. I don't really use any sideshow functions, so I see no need to have them running. But they are. I don't know if that is related or not.

Re: G510 LCD clock is gone

Missed this one:

"After that they should be back on your G510 keyboards LCD (and the Logitech LCD Manager program) like they were before."

And what do you know, it is! Starting like before (after a reboot, I didn't test that until now).

Thanks again!

Re: G510 LCD clock is gone

For some reason when I click on the applets .exe files nothing happens.

Any ideas please?

I'm running Windows 7 64bit with Malwarebytes and Eset NOD 32 antivirus installed.

Re: G510 LCD clock is gone

I did, in post # 2 :smileyhappy:

Just find the LCD apps' .exe's in the logitech install folder as described, start them once and you should be set. I have Windows Vista Ultimate, 64-bit, don't know if that's important.

Re: G510 LCD clock is gone

OK now I've got them working and displayed  - thanks very much.

I used to be able to get the applets to alternate automatically with an option to vary the peed of switching but I can't seem to find the automatic switching option?

Regards

Try right click "Open" rather than trying to click the .exe file
