Hi im looking to buy the G510 but i have some questions to ask before purchasing it.
Firstly, i know the the G keys are programmable. But what about the rest of the default keys? Are all keys programmable too?
And how does the macro work for programmed keys? If i program a key to type out the word "logitech" in notepad, will the word appear instantly? If yes, can i add some kind of delay inbetween the letters? And does it do looping too?
Thanks in advance...

You can only program the G and M keys. The M keys can only be programmed through Lua script, but the G keys can also use the macro program.
All macros and scripts will perform actions as if you were typing them, so it will press each key at a time. However, without a delay between key presses, it will act as if it was all typed in nearly instant, so often you need to add delays between presses.

AutoIt and AutoHotkeys are scripting programs that will let you do that. They do require a bit more programming knowledge to use.
For gaming purposes, I recommend a G13, which let you program a large array of keys, and has a joystick for movement.

Yes i do know about those programs and it is the main reason why i am asking about the g510 if it can program the regular keys with its own software. I will look into the G13 but not too keen on a pad.
