Logitech Gaming Software 7.00.291 installed on my Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit desktop. G15 keyboard. It all seems to work okay, but there are two minor annoyances that I can't figure out.
First, the mail icon on my clock screen is always on, and shows the number of unread messages between my hotmail and gmail (if I have 5 unreads in hotmail, and 10 unreads in gmail, it shows 15 unread on the icon). How can I disable this icon completely? I don't want it at all, I don't want it to look at my mail or anything. I want the clock and that's it. I have unchecked the mail (pop) setting in the gaming software. (I have deleted the registry keys, and set HKCU > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current Version > UnreadMail key to Read Only {had to remove inherited permissions and set new, etc.}. This works in the meantime but I would like a software that functions properly instead of me hacking some registry option. Who knows what else this will bork.)
Second, when I press the circle button on the lcd screen, nothing happens. I want it to switch between my performance, clock, and stopwatch screens (the only ones checked/enabled in the software). The only way I can switch between screens is by setting the option for the button to bring up a list of screens, and then scrolling through the list manually.
I am logged in as the real Administrator account, and UAC is disabled. The system is fully patched and all drivers are updated. Thanks for reading, and for any suggestions.
