my UAC level is standard/default, never messed with it.

I have not yet tried the XML move trick, will do that in a bit. But if this is indeed the problem, it might mean that the LGS software needs to keep that in mind in some way. Will report if it solved my issue.

Edit: it did create a new XML file which, when diffed against the previous one, was slightly different. But upon restarting it again did not start with the system.

So, is there no support for Windows Sideshow with this driver any more?  I noticed that since installing this driver, no compatible devices pop up for Windows SideShow.  Not that I'm really hurt by this because I've found SideShow to be more of a pain in the butt than anything else, but I'm just curious.

It should be noted...I'm running Windows 7x64 and have absolutely no issues with the software in general nor with the software auto-starting with my system.  About the only thing that I find is that my G19 media keys only work if I'm actually in the Window for the player that I'm using.  Of course, the first thing I do is disable UAC on any Windows 7 system I work on because UAC is completely useless garbage.

well I still can't get gamepanel software to work right.. 3.06 won't install at all with LGS 8.20 and 3.01 seems to make my panel applets flicker

V8.20 LCORE.EXE crash whenever the M2 key context was invoked, either by pressing the M2 key, either in a game or in the GKeys section of the interface. While in the GKeys section of the interface, clicking on the M2 in the on-screen keyboard also generates exactly the same crash. I looked at a couple of the crash dumps and it looks like there's a pointer dereferencing problem, which isn't really informative. What is notable is that its the same in-game, and in the GamePanel UI for either the actual M2 keypress or a mouse click on the pseudo-keyboard M2.

Invoking the setup program again results in a reinstallation that is missing LCORE.EXE entirely. It appears that the installation is failing apparently while attempting to use Windows Scripting, which is often an account or privilege violation because MS as continues to patch vulnerabilities by restricting commands and contexts each time there is the side effect that it will block many existing scripts which must be rewritten to comply with the security patch. NB: UAC as doesn't exist by that name on XP x64 (Server 2003 x64), but there is a similar process privilege context for Windows Scripting. (i.e. it gets stuffed into a sandbox because its easily exploited)

Perhaps the following will be specific enough to permit action on the installer problem if not the actual LCORE problem.

LGS 801 did not exhibit these symptoms.

Hi!

My G510 also doesn't recover from sleep mode about 30% of the time.  I didn't read all the way through this thread, so I apologize if i'm retreading info.

I have Windows 7 64 bit.  Intel Quad Core Asus mobo, just started using sleep mode recently.

I would easily say that most of the time the keyboard springs back to life like it was never asleep, but once again about 30% of the time when the PC comes back to life the LCD and keys are all grey and the software decides not to acknowledge any profiles.

Simply unplugging the keyboard and plugging it back in immediately kicks the keyboard back into gear and all is well.

I seem to have a similiar problem with my G930 headset not handling the surround sound button after sleep mode too.

Mildly annoying, but not the end of the world for me.

This has always been the problem with LGS since the first version. The resume from standby and hibernate does not work. You can exit the program from the taskbar clock area and run the program again to fix this.

Then again, if you do not want to be irritated by this, simple uninstall it and install the legacy version 3 software. If it aren't broken, dun revamp it!

I had to revert to 8.12 I run a Asus CrossHair V Formula Series with ASMedia controllers. I had upgraded the comtroller to V114 but that cut off communication between the keyboard and the Application except for basic keyboarding. This happens while running 8.20 and the  v114 of the controller software.

I changed everything back to the old version and now I am happy even though the External Drive unit has to be move to another computer.

I might try to use 8.20  with out the driver change to the usb.
