Re: LGS 8.20 is now available for your G-Series Keyboard

Question No. 1:

After installing the new LGS 8.20 (together with a fresh OS installation!) the volume control on right side of my G19 isn't working as it should (and did with old version).

With standard windows desk active it does the normal +/- 2% steps, but if i run a fullscreen game or having any other audio related software active the volume-control does nothing (fullscreen) or switches to +/- 10% steps (e.g. with PowerDVD active). Why? The old G19 software never had such issues.

I made a clean install of my OS (Vista 32bit HP), and after the important drivers i installed the LGS 8.20 - problem still exists! I had contact with customer support but got no relevant answer so far.

Question No. 2:

Why doesn't mark the POP3-Plugin itself as active and switches to foreground on G19 display if a new Email arrives? Such a plugin makes no sense in my eyes if i have to check it manually! This "bug" was also in the old software version so i'm wondering why it's not solved 'till today?!

Re: LGS 8.20 is now available for your G-Series Keyboard

I have no problem reproducing the problem. Everytime you restart your computer the gaming assistant auto start. Just try start a second instance of the program and you'll end-up with this problem.

To fix the problem, logitech should modify the program so that when it starts it checks and make sure that  there is not another instance of itself already being run.

DJ Casper - As far as I know, that has indeed been resolved in 8.30.

Re: LGS 8.20 is now available for your G-Series Keyboard

I'm not understanding the acceleration issue. LGS does not support any acceleration option (other than toggling the Windows 'enhanced pointer precision' acceleration option. Are you saying that LGS should be supported an acceleration option other than what Windows offers? I thought most games turn off acceleration.

Re: LGS 8.20 is now available for your G-Series Keyboard

I don't share dates until I'm sure it will be uploaded, which is usually the day of (aka not until I see the upload request), but LGS 8.30 is process right now :smileyhappy:

DJCasper - We've had an extended discussion regarding this via PM. I tested SP 6.30 against SP 6.32 on side-by-side systems, and I wasn't able to detect a difference between the two. I also talked with the actual programmers, and the driver between the two of those were not changed. The only thing I can think of is something's errantly causing a different acceleration value, like the Windows' acceleration setting, to have an effect on your system independently of the software. On my test systems and as per the programmers themselves, there is nothing different between 6.30 and 6.32 in terms of tracking.
