This new install has the same "Run" key error for XP 32-bit that the prior 8.20 version did.
Logitech Hardware:
Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000
Mx518 Mouse
G15 Keyboard
Logitech Software:
Quickcam 10.5.1.2029
Setpoint 6.32.7, Driver 5.33.14
LGS 8.30.86
Windows XP Pro SP3 32bit
Logitech Gaming Software Install Problem:
There's an error in the installed LGS "run" registry key.
When viewed in RegEdit, the "Launch Lcore" key looks like this:
C:\Program Files\Logitech Gaming Software\LCore.exe /minimized
The path is missing double quotes, so when I reboot the computer, it opens an Explorer window pointing to "C:\Program Files\Logitech".
Since it dropped the rest of the line after "C:\Program Files\Logitech", LCore doesn't start, either.
The path and executable should be enclosed in double quotes, like this:
"C:\Program Files\Logitech Gaming Software\LCore.exe" /minimized
From a ".reg" file perspective, the wrong key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Cur
"Launch LCore"="C:\\Program Files\\Logitech Gaming Software\\LCore.exe /minimized"
should have been coded to read:
"Launch LCore"="\"C:\\Program Files\\Logitech Gaming Software\\LCore.exe\" /minimized"
Fortunately, I already knew about this error from V8.20, so I fixed it easily with the new installer.
I hope this might prove helpful for someone else with the same problem.

Ditto here. New update installed.
Go to sleep, even for 10 seconds, press any key to wake, and everything is working--EXCEPT- the G13 is hung in suspended animation, "G13" showing on LED.
Only solution (time-consuming) is to deliberately Exit to software, and relaunch. Back to normal.
This has been mentioned several times.
Win7 64-bit.
AMD Phenom II.
MSI 890FX-GE70 gaming board.
BTW, a Razer Mouse or Keyboard attched, have no problem with this kind of issue. No problems at all.
I have two other suggestions:
1. Allow a Print feature that is not just a "table" of key assignments, but the actual G13 layout, as you see on the desktop configuator software. ("Visual Thinking" I believe it's called).
It would need to be adapted for grey scale/tones of the original.
I have to go through the process of creating a special document, with layers, to do what this program should do right out of the box.
2. I second the motion for being able to edit delays as a group/select, not just one by one.
thanks.

I posted few days ago, that I tried compatibility mode, but that was only one time help.
Every time I start the software it crashes with genric error msg.
I tried CCleaner, but didn't help.
I found out, that if I start the software after hours of playing games, it usally works and the software ist starting normally. Any ideas why?

TraderDave - Could you tey something? Do a sleep cycle, but instead of closing/reopening LGS, could you unplug and replug the G13? Also, if the G13 is plugged into the USB 3.0 ports (ports with the blue "tongue" on the inside of the port on the back of your motherboard) try the 2.0 ports.

I'm also having the same problem (G15 "Orange" 0x0020). I disabled all other applets except the ones supplied by Logitech. Stil no luck. Keyboard is frozen coming out of sleep (S3). Restarting the software fixes the issue. As does unplugging and reinserting the keyboard. It has been this way with all the releases since v3.06 (which worked and still works, if I can manage to install it and get rid of v8.3).
As for hardware I have an older rig based on Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4. So it is contemporary to the G15.

LogiForce wrote:Unfortunately CharlesB, the LCore.exe still has a dependancy problem on a fresh install with all updates. It can not find "IESHIMS.DLL" the file since no path has been set in LCore.exe for this file like all the other DLL's in the executable. I used Dependancy Walker ( http://www.dependencywalker.com/ ) to execute the executable and found this out.
Please correct this as soon as possible.
Thank you.
thats actually NOT a bug in the application. No dll file is directly referenced in a compiled application, applications that do things like that are dirty hacks. What the problem is, is that the Internet explorer directory is not listed in the path environment variables. Either way, that ieshims message is completely ignorable, its not causing anerror and the dll file is not even present on systems that have IE uninstalled

upon (re)booting the keyboard color stays blue. i set it to be red in the default profile. only 1 profile and set to default and permanent.
Every reboot the keyb goes back to blue.
The only way to make it red is to open the app and just click the lightbulb for color, i don't even need to change anything just open and click the lightbulb.

Seeing the crash/lockup of the app upon hibernation.
Running Win7 32-bit and a G15 keyboard.
Whenever I hibernate and then wake-up my system, the LCD on the G15 remains frozen displaying only "G15" in large text. The volume control buttons still work, but I cannot cycle through any applets. If i exit and restart the LGS software, then it starts to work again.
