Hey, sorry for the late reply

i just tried over and over again and it works for me if i do the following:

uninstall the software

unplug the G19 keyboard

restart the computer (if you need to enter a password after reboot, use a second keyboard, i used a ps2 one)

plug in the G19 keyboard

install the software

smile :smileyvery-happy:

oh, i almost forgot to say, it doesnt work with every usb ports, there can only be one

Re: Logitech G19 LCD not working is 64bit windows 7 system

So I've gone ahead and figured out what the problem with the runtime error is. It seem that logitech isn't having lcore.exe aquire admin rights and as such is being denied access to the  C++ runtimes it is calling on.  Some people figured out that if you just let the lcore.exe crash at startup and then lanched it by right clicking and running as admin it would work.

Before that, my specs are:

AMD Phenom II x4 965 3.4ghz

ATI 6970 2gig Refrence Card

Logitech G35

Logitech G19

The point of this is to show that I am using ALL of the hardware that has been assused of being at fault for the errors and yet the fix below works without installing or uninstalling anything.

The fix for this is sickeningly simple but understand that it will leave your computer less secure then Microsoft would like.  No less secure the Windows XP before SP1 mind you, but still less secure.

1) Open Control Panel

2) Open "Action Center" or click on "Review your computer's status" under "System and Security"

3) Near the top left of the screen click "Change User Account Control settings". (The one with the shield)

4) Slide the bar all the way to the bottom and click OK.

5) Reboot.

The lcore.exe will launch just fine at restart. No more runtime errors.

I have tested this multiple times by sliding the security setting up one notch and rebooting....error.  Down to bottom.....fine.   I also have another system that has the same hardware except for a G510 instead of the G19 (the wife liked having more macro keys). Same thing happens on her system.

Anyway enjoy your hardware!

Re: Logitech G19 LCD not working is 64bit windows 7 system

[ Edited ]

I've owned my current G19 for just over 12 months.

I've had the same problem.

There was no backlights. No LCD and the PC wasn't detecting the keyboard (not in the logitech software).

I had uninstalled the Logitech mouse and keyboard software and reinstalled. Still the same. Not detected, no lights or LCD.

But when i unplugeed it, the computer made the right beeps to say its detected a USB. When i unplugged the USB i Got the same, saying the Pc had detected it but it still gave errors.

So i pulled off the back cover to the LCD and made sure the plugs were still connected properly. *theres on on each side of the screen.

Then it worked.  So I jumped on here to confirm it worked, and in the middle of this it failed again.... sigh.

After owning a G15, and a G19 keyboard I think I'm currently shopping for a New Razor stealth or maybe a Steel series Keyboard.

The best mouse I've ever owned was a G7 by logitech, which is now replaced by the g700. It also is a great mouse but some games etc don't detect the extra buttons so its a bit of a pain.

Cheers

Re: Logitech G19 LCD not working is 64bit windows 7 system

First of all, sorry for my english ;P

I spent 2 days looking for a solution and finally I succesfully fixed it.

1. Be sure that you can see the Hidden files

2. Unistall LGS

3. Go to C:\Users\XXXXXX\AppData\Local and delete the Logitech folder

4. Go to C:\Users\XXXXXX\AppData\Roaming and delete the Logitech and Logishrd folders

5. Reboot

6. Install LGS 8.20 as Administrator

7. Enjoy it!!

I hope it works for you guys ;P

Re: Logitech G19 LCD not working is 64bit windows 7 system

Only way to fix this is logitech do something to it! stop disabling UAC:s it just make your computer to vulnerable for bad programs what installs it self when uac isnt there stopping it and everyone knows what happends when some unwanted program installs it self without you knowing about it. Admin rights will make lcore to start but only if started manually not on windows startup cos UAC prevents this kind of action happen for protection. i tryed to unplug g19 and it will make lcore run without admin rights so Now would be the **bleep**ing time to make that firmware and not keep it secretly hidden from ppls eyes.. yes they can make firmware upgrade's  they just wont want ppl to know about how easy it is. thats why they wont puplish one cos "there isnt any problems" i can see a problem and maby i just take my money back if customers are like **bleep**... how can be this problem be so **bleep**ing old first posts are from year 2010 and some of them are older now it is about halfway 2012

So take finger out from ya buts and do some **bleep**ing work you lazy maggots!
