Logitech G19+Logitech G700 USB Extension Question

Hello people, i want to buy logitech g19 keyboard and g700 mouse, and with my setup ill need them both to have 5m usb cable in order to use them on my desk, and my question is, with 5m length extension, normal usb2 or with repeater, will i have any delay lag?

Re: Logitech G19+Logitech G700 USB Extension Question

lag due to using a USB extension is not really measurable.

also, the G19 has USB ports that you can plug your mouse into so you may need only one extension (unless you have a specific reason not to, such as a system compatibility issue).

Re: Logitech G19+Logitech G700 USB Extension Question

first of all thank you for your reply mate, secondly im thinking of making another setup on my gaming room to have a desk infront of 55" led tv in order to have keyboard and mouse on it, so ill have to use 5 meter extension on keyboard and maybe on mouse too, thats why im wondering on that

(keyboard g19 and mouse g700)

Re: Logitech G19+Logitech G700 USB Extension Question

keep in mind that, technically, a 5m extension is outside of the limits imposed by the USB specification.  however, if you use an active-repeater extension it will probably work just fine, despite being technically out-of-spec.

It's something to try, but some motherboards with the G19 lead to situations where it can have ESD issues. As kgober said, you'll be really out of USB's cable length spec though AND you'll still have to have an AC adapter plugged into the G19 as well.
