Looks great but double the price of the G15:

Re: Logitech G19 , oh my god,

Exactly... it is far too expensive for providing similar function to the earlier G keyboards with just a fancy display. Sure its nice but is it really necessary? And that volume knob seems a bit weird... I like the rotary one from the original G15.

I will be passing on it. Still waiting for a re-release of the original G15 or a very minor revision there of (would like to see the USB 2.0 hub and ability to change LED color in the original G15 but leave the rest the same).

My only cons so far , are the price and the language , nothing else .

Re: Logitech G19 , oh my god,

I'll probably pick up the G19, but I'm wondering if the LCD will be backwards compatible with games written for the current G keyboards. If not, that could be a deal breaker for me.

Is there any difference in the current and new mouse other than higher DPI?

The G19 will be compatible with all existing and future monochrome applets.

Re: Logitech G19 , oh my god,

Thanks Chris !

I was thinking about cons all day , i hardly found any .

So here they come ,

Cons:

Price ( 199$ is wayy off )

Layout ( people like me want layouts of their own country , portugal )

No on-board memory ( if the G9x and the G13 have on board memory , why the G19 doesent have it too ? )

Smaller LCD ( its color , but not widescreen anymore , its still a BIG improvement tho )

Pros:

Too much to post here :smileytongue:

yeah sweet keyboard but i recently got my original G15 V1 on December 19 :smileysad:

anyways it looks pretty good over all but the price is OVERKILL almost 3x the price of the G15 almost like buying 3 Logitech G15's V2.

But deffinately not my suggestion to upgrade to this keyboard yet and theres still plenty of original G15s left that in my opinion is better 18G Keys FTW!!.

Re: Logitech G19 , oh my god,

Portuguese is one of the layouts that will be produced.  I don't have pictures of it, but it will be a standard Portuguese layout.

The G19 does allow storing of profiles on the unit for easy transfer between multiple systems - same as the G13.
