As I said before, we have the ability to produce Portuguese G19s but no distributors are ordering them. If there are no orders for a product, it will not be manufactured. It is not likely that any will be manufactured any time soon as a result.

Thanks for your prompt reply.
Sad to hear that...
This is an example of the problems of living in a small country…
Taking a different approach:
Is there any Portuguese layout Logitech keyboard being currently manufactured which uses the same key caps of the G19?
If the answer is yes, I could buy one of those keyboards + a G19 and exchange the key caps.
Although this would be an expensive solution, it would allow many geeks like me (and I’m sure there are many…) to have a PT G19.

Hey Chris! Thanks for the reply!
As for the distributors orders, we can try to persuade them by emailing all computer stores that sell gaming hardware so they can "annoy" the portuguese distributors to make them see how bad we want this keyboard xD

Hey Chris, I just wanted to let you know I got my G19 the other day.
I'm liking it, and wanted to make two suggestions for later revisions, or if a new model comes out.
The volume wheel is nice, and was a big factor on me getting the keyboard. It would be even more cool if it was like the micro drive mouse wheels where you can press it and then when you spin it that it just "glides". The way it currently is is great for precision adjustment, but if you want a quick flick type adjustment it takes a few swipes to make it go way down, or way up. Using that micro gear tech like on the new logitech mice (M/N: M-RBQ124, sorry not sure of the exact model but that's the MN on the bottom of it) could give that option when you need it.
Another thing for me was the backlit keyboard, and I love it. I am a bit of coder myself, and saw I could change the backlighting with some scripting. So I decided to script it to fade through random colors on a loop. Unfortunately I found out that while I can do this, I have no way via the scripting to toggle global variables after a loop starts. The scripting engine in single threaded, meaning once I start a script with a keypress, I can not run another script until that one completes. So if I press G11 to start my amazing technicolor experience, I cannot press G5 to run any code to set a toggle variable. I assume this is all handled by a chip in the keyboard and might be expensive to upgrade that in the future. So I would say if that is the case to provide additional functions for either a "Button Toggle" or a "Check for key press" event, that can be run during the "OnEvent" method. Not a show stopper, but this would make the keyboard so insanely powerful. Somone could set a script to constantly repeat a character until a button is pressed to stop it, repeat certain functions, or slightly alter an attack in game based on when you press another button, etc.
Anyway... overall I like the product. It works great, the LCD is looking freak'n crispy and the extra fact that it now works as a Windows SideShow device is even better and extends the apps that can run on it. Being able to play my Winamp and control it with simple keys on the keyboard without having to do a complex shortcut, and at the same time see the song playing on my lcd... 3 kinds of awesome!
For everyone, I suggest picking one of these up if you can and got the bucks for it.
Thanks for another fine product.

I've been reading this topic...
Like many others I've been trying to fing a G19 with a Portuguese Layout....
I find it very poor costumer support a brand like Logitech... that seels so much in Portugal... and the Portuguese buy their products as a preference give such poor excuse not to produce a Portuguese Layout...
Logitech could produce a portuguese layout sold online for those who wanted to buy... Unfortunatelly Portuguese people are seen like 3rd world countrys.... not decent enough to get produts like the rest of the world......
that's a shame I've been using logitech produts for so long and now (like many others) I probably got to change.... Please have so respect for all off us who like to hav decent products
