It doesn't 'work' in Windows 8, at least not all the time. I got lucky on one of my rigs and it is running, but on my other one it won't work. Get the "LoadLibrary failed with error 126: The specified module could not be found." Here is the kicker, they are identical machines both with clean installs of Windows 8.
Would be nice to get a beta driver to play around with.
EDIT: For a fix, strange fix check this thread. http://forums.logitech.com/t5/G-Series-Gaming-Keyb
Seems as though a certain Display Driver is helping.. one I had not installed on one of my rigs before the Keyboard drivers.

I have a G13 that I just installed on my windows 8 CP and everything looks and seems fine except it doesn't work when I get in game. The test profile shows the macros working but when I get into game nothing works. I have tried restarting and setting the select game as both browse and select using gamepanel display, neither worked.
The game I am trying to get it to work for is League of Legends if that means anything (however it doesn't work in other games after fresh install).
Any suggestions?

Well you shouldn't need that rar I uploaded before because the normal logitech drivers should work now, I am using the normal one for windows 7, apparently I am not allowed to upload this rar here on this forum, so if you want it, I will have to give you it some where else

"LoadLibrary failed with error 126" is an AMD driver issue with OpenGL and logitech gaming software in this case.
The logitech software apparently uses OpenGL to render all those nice graphics for its appearance and the AMD graphics card drivers had an issue with that.
Fortunately, you have at your disposal drivers that work better with OpenGL.
That is why I had no problem (nvidia) and you did (amd). Though, I do have a wake from sleep problem with the keyboard.

window 8 cp
I get the "LoadLibrary failed with error 126" almost daily (only been running Win8cp a few days) and it seems only fix is to reinstall the newest catalyst drivers.
Doesnt seem to be affected by simply restarting the PC. It has to be shut down for quite a few hours. wait.. maybe it happens b/c the date changes. who really knows. chasing rabits.
So if i want to play any games with my G13 that day I'll need to reinstall the Catalyst drivers. ?
no idea who's to blame for the error.. Logitech or AMD.
I'll do some more testing and try to pinpoint a consistant fix. like do I need to uninstall the Catalyst control center or just 'repair it'. might be a registry thing as well.
edit:
no errors in the registry via my registry error fixer program.. a ton of microsoft errors however! it's beta..
just reinstalled the Catalyst control center, no "un-install" and no "repair", just a normal express install over the existing install. when finished, I just ran the Logitech software and it finds and loads the G13 no problem..
this shouldn't be a big problem for these 2 big companies to figure out and fix. oh well. ![]()

I worked around the OS check by using Compatability mode.
Right click on the installer an choose Troubleshoot Compatability.
It will simulate Windows XP SP3 and everything will then install.

"no idea who's to blame for the error.. Logitech or AMD."
Both?
Logitech for using it in their software and AMD for having shoddy OpenGL support.

It is common knowledge that Nvidia and AMD have both pretty much abandoned OpenGL for their gaming cards. When the rare OpenGL game does come out (mostly John Carmack engine based games), they go to AMD and Nvidia for them to give OpenGL support that will work with those games.
From my understanding, they do this so that people don't use cheap gaming cards for profesional software. They want you to buy their highly expensive professional cards which have great OpenGL support.
I imagine if Logitech went to AMD, they'd fix their OpenGL support so it works with their software, in the same manner that is done with games.

I have the same problem with my G940 and G27 which only work with the Logitech Gaming Software up to 5.10.127. Yet, that software refuses to install on Windows 8. I found it's extremely easy to bypass it yourself.
Here's instructions for bypassing the OS check (only attempted with x64 v5.10.127):
1. Open the setup file (lgs510_x64.exe) inside of WinRAR or other application that can open self-extracting CAB archives.
2. Extract the contents to a folder.
3. Open the folder and look for Setup.ini in the root folder you extracted the files to. Right-click Setup.ini and open the file properties.
4. Uncheck Read-only and click OK.
5. Open the Setup.ini file in Notepad.
6. Search for a line that looks like this:
Conditions=OSCheck_XP_Min
7. Add a semi-colon to the beginning of the line to comment it out. Like this:
;Conditions=OSCheck_XP_Min
8. Save the file and exit Notepad.
9. Run Setup.exe
