Re: Official GamePanel Software for Mac [beta] Discussion thread

Well, while playing on the PTR, the display started working.

Dunno if this is on your end or Blizzard's end, but the bag space is off by 20, and the BG component is kind of...well, I dunno, because there isn't much BG on the PTR, but it is obvious it doesn't work well.

It does work well and updates quickly

Is there any documentation on what the 4 little buttons do?   The first seems to scroll thru stats, the second is something for BG's, 3rd and 4th don't seem to do anything......

Thanks

The third button displays when somebody whispers you.

I don't know what the fourth does.

Re: Official GamePanel Software for Mac [beta] Discussion thread

toocool- The problem is in a script file in the LCD Media Player applet that has an improper scripting command. This has been resolved in the next fix (And, if you want to fix the script yourself before the next release, you can. My fix is a little messy and I'm embarassed to post it :smileywink: I'll see if I can clean it up.)

Thought I'd pass this along. I have an iMac running OS X 10.5.6.  I am using a G13. With 3.00.236 (which is what the download section of this website gave me when I put in G13) the Mac acted crazy. When I went to the Finder and selected any item, the selection highlighting started running up toward the top of the window.  Also, when I tried to type words anywhere, they came out backwards. I had to reboot to stop the problem.  This problem seems to be solved by instlling v. 3.01.

Re: Official GamePanel Software for Mac [beta] Discussion thread

Performance Monitor in 3.01.310 has a Mac Pro and/or quadcore issue (known, I think, but I want to confirm it from my end in this release).

My system is quadcore/16GB RAM/10.5.6 and I'm seeing one core in perfmon and (highly unrealistic) ram utilisation of 82%-- very much like was I was seeing on my older dualcore system before upgrading to the 3.01.310 build.

Obviously accommodating the new 16-thread Nehalem systems with a per-core meter might be a little tricky, so I'm content with an aggregate view of CPU usage-- but realistic RAM usage reporting would be much appreciated :smileywink:

Re: Official GamePanel Software for Mac [beta] Discussion thread

So far I have to admit: I'm loving the G13. My DPS on WoW is off the charts and my hand no longer throbs after a hard night of raiding. I may be the only one of two Mac users in the guild—but all the Windows users are jealous of my G13.

I'm curious to see what else the display and the 4 buttons below it can do, though. Logitech's website mentions an open-source SDK. Where is it?

The Mac LCD SDK is available in the 3.01 release under Applications > Logitech > GamePanel Software > LCD Manager > LCDSDK.

Re: Official GamePanel Software for Mac [beta] Discussion thread

Thanks Chris_P.

Next question: where do you download the 3.01 release?

The G13 download page at http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/441/5123&cl=us,en?osid=9 shows a version 3.00.236 (released 12/10/2008). Is there an alternative download page?

Not sure why the G13 page is pointing at the old release.  The G15 uses the same software and it can be downloaded here.

Actually, looking at it again this is still the Beta release, which does not have the SDK included.  When the final release is posted it will include the SDK.  A note that it has been released will likely be posted in this thread or elsewhere on this forum.
