NamelessOne wrote:YES!!!! Finally fixed it.
Out of nowhere I started having this issue TODAY!!!! With the latest LGS (tried all versions from 8.0 onwards).
Nothing, absolutely nothing worked. My only option was re-installing 3.06.
So I tried re-installing the runtime libraries c++ 2005/2008 nothing worked. But I noticed that everytime I tried to start LCore.exe (even using elevated privileges) was eating 1.3/2.0gb of RAM until finally crashed with the Runtime Error, every single time.
So I started looking around and..... to my surprise I've found json configuration file with a similar size: HERE ---> C:\Users\XXXXXX\AppData\Local\Logitech\Logitech Gaming Software\settings.json
I immediately deleted the g'dam file and IT WORKED!
Seems like at some point my configuration file got corrupted (I think) and when the software tried to read it, it crashed.
Give it a shot guys.
that work like a charm for me, just need to delete it
so thx alot nameless
systeme
windows 7 64 bit
logitech gaming software 8.20
(to make easier for google search)

I was having the same MSVCR90.dll error.
What was weird is that I was having (on the same pc) a Win 7 on a hard drive without any error and a Win7 on a SSD with the crashing LCore.
After installing/uninstalling LGS and Visual Studio a dozens of time, no progress at all.
By watching with Process Explorer (Sysinternal) Lcore was starting at 1Go, peeking at 3 Go (!!!) and the crashing around 2Go of memory....( I have 12 Go of ram ![]()
By luck, I found this file :
C:\Users\Bubble7\AppData\Local\Logitech\Logitech Gaming Software\settings.json
It was having a 1Go size !!!!
After renaming it, the problem was solved !
( Win 7 64 bits / LGS 8.20)

if you're running win7 it's located: C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Logitech\Logit
on winxp: C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Local Settings\Application Data\Logitech Gaming Software
Glad I was able to help others with the same issue I had ![]()

AppData is a hidden Folder.
"C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Logitech\Logi
So :
1.) Replace "yourusername" with you actual username
2.) Copy&Paste the line in your explorer
3.) Now you should see the file.

This Fix does work... Thanks ![]()
You must uninstall all 2008 versions of visualc++
then reboot, install them again (2008 + 2008 sp1)...
Terrible software logitech... parts = good!
Edit Note> You must leave User Account Control at its lowest (if you change back the same problem will continue) FIX IT LOGITECH UAC Settings
Thanks ! That did it for me.
- Uninstall LGS
- Disable UAC
- Uninstall VisualC++ 2008
- Reinstall VisualC++ 2008
- Reinstall LGS 8.20 as admin
SUCCESS !! :-)
