I've just spent an hour trying everything listed in this thread and I cannot get it to work at all either. I continually get the LCore.exe Runtime Error.
Extremely frustrating.
What's up Logitech??? How am I supposed to make this 8.2 software run on my 32-bit Windows 7?

I see lots of posts on different threads about this problem and lots of people that seem to be unable to make it work no matter how much they try.
Seems to be a pretty pervasive problem affecting many users....

It seems to randomly affect systems. None at Logitech are seeing this and none of my personal machines are. My girlfriend's had a Lcore.exe crash once, and I left work eary to get home and see if I could get it to crash again and give me a full .dmp, but no luck and it hasn't crashed since.
We are investigating this as best as we can, and the software team is chomping at the bit for the right data to come back. This is an active, visible, and high priority issue.
That being said, I have reports from the call center agents that (in order) uninstalling LGS, disabling UAC, and running the installer again as Admin has resolved the issue on a few of their calls. Other times they reran the VisualC++ 2008 redist right after the disabling UAC step. Then they installed LGS 8.20, and that also helped.

I also have not been able to get recent versions of LGS to work.
I've uninstalled LGS, disabled UAC, rebooted, reinstalled Visual C++ 2005 (as Administrator), reinstalled VC++ 2008 (ditto), and finally the LGS 8.20 (Administrator yet again). Still get the Lcore.exe error when I try to run it.
The last version that DID work was 8.00. If i uninstall 8.20, I can reinstall 8.00, and I don't even have to go through all the "diable UAC" hoops to do it!!!
I suggest your programmers take a hard look at whatever has changed in the code since 8.00.
I should mention, I have Windows 7 (x64).

I tried that. After installation, LCore.exe would just sit there doing nothing. The time on my G15's LCD would be stuck at whatever time it was when LCore started. There's no tray icon. I went into Task Manager to kill it. Restarted it through the Start Menu, same thing. Tried restarting it a few times then it crashed with the runtime library error.

Same thing as before.
I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem but during the installation, after the license agreement, the screen shows "Detecting devices, please wait a moment..." then flashes something that I can't catch and goes straight to installing.

I've compared it from a few crashes, the stack trace is exactly the same, the running modules have the same items but different ordering.

Funny thing is i dont even get the runtime error, i was using the software since it got upgraded to 8.20 and suddenly it just stopped working. I got the Runtime error one time, and after that the LGS just don't show up.
LCore.exe is running on the processes, but the software itself doesnt run, tried every single trick on the hat, giving it more priorities, disabling UAC (it has always been disabled anyway), reinstaling, reintalling the whole C++ 2008. Every time i install or turn on my computer, LCore runs on the procceses, but no LGS software.
Another funny story, is that my G930 Macro Buttons works (on the default setting the come with, play/pause, next track, previous track) and my g19 also have its G-Keys habilitated (again, on their default setting from retail). But no backlight, no customization and such because u know, no software.
I'm running all this on an Alienware M15x Laptop, CPU: i7 1.78, RAM 8 GB RAM,GPU: Nvidia GTX 460M, OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
