Where can I find a 1st gen G15?

My beloved G15 died today, may it R.I.P. Anyways, I can't seem to find a G15 anywhere besides the Italian version. Also, why has it stopped selling?

Re: Where can I find a 1st gen G15?

its not being produced anymore because its ancient!

which language would you prefer?

only one i found with my quick google searching that wasnt labeled as eng/ital is this one:

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2609862&CAWELAID=107518871

who would have thought toys'r'us would sell this kind of thing o__0

when i was a kid all they had was typical kid stuff, action figures, bikes, and video games (and consoles)!

in any event, unless you're actually using all 18 of those Gkeys, you might want to consider the V2, or the G19.  and if you dont actually use the lcd screen, but do need all those macro keys and liked the feel of the G15 you should definatly just get yourself a G11. it is almost identical to the V1 G15, the difference being that it has no lcd screen...and the G11 is still really really easy to find :smileytongue:

Re: Where can I find a 1st gen G15?

Thanks bro!

I'm just soo used to my old G15. I was really sad because I thought I would never find another one unless it was the Italian one. I also liked the screen for all the various apps that are available. I am taking a liking to the G19 though... I might get that in the future. :smileyvery-happy:

Trust me, if you liked (let alone loved) your old Gen1 G15, you will LOVE the G19 (I recommend a G19 + G13 combo for true gaming love).

The G19 is better then the G15(both gen's) in everyway, the responce time is faster, the screen is nicer and very clear (shame only WoW uses it in colour (for now), IMHO the keys feel much more fluid and respond better. thats just a few things, all you have to do is try it and you'll love it, and if you have a G13, G19 and G9 you'll be in gaming heaven.

Shame then that so many G19 users are experiencing so many issues with them (for instance a single key press can result in 7 - 10 repeats of that key press, in word, IE, gaming etc) not to mention the fact that the board also has on occasions just stopped working (resulting in either a complete powerdown of the pc or a USB cable pullout (alot of the time the pullout doesn't work which leads to the power down)).

Yes it's a lovely looking keyboard (the g19) but I am left with it being unplugged and me using my older G15's (I have both revisions sat on my desk being used by different pc's atm).

I would probably suggest the G15 rev 2 at the moment over the G19.

Re: Where can I find a 1st gen G15?

dont forget the G35 headset! :smileyvery-happy: a crystal clear 7.1 headset is also a requirement of gaming nirvana lol

anymore i'm debating ditching my sound card and 5.1 system entirely. i litterally havent listened to anything on my computer over the speakers since the day i bought the G35s lol

and i pretty well agree with everything jxf said. i have friends with the older G15's, and the G19 is miles ahead to me. more keys than the 2nd generation G15, and vastly smaller than the 1st. it actually fits my desk perfectly, and offers so many great features that the G15s simply didnt have. the absolute only gripe i really have with this thing is that the cord is on the right side instead of center or left, and even i find that to be an absolutly rediculious gripe ;D

i myself am holding out on the G13 though, at least until they get the analog stick working in analog. the analog stick is basically the only reason i want it to begin with, so until thats up and working i'd never be using it since i can do essentially everything else it does with my G19.

I agree with what you are saying about the G35 I love it for my gaming a VoIP, the only thing I use my 5.1 G51 speakers for now is Music (and games when my wife wants to watch me play), but because of the G35s great noise cancelling I can play and talk with my G35 hearing every little detail without having to turn down my music, and I can still hear the music enough to enjoy it at the same time.

If you are using a x86 OS there is a fix to allow the G13 to have a true analog stick, maybe you can give it a try?

Theres a thread somewhere on these very forums, I will take a look around to find a link or you could just look around.

I personally have not experianced these problems at all, the only one I had was having to turn my USB from 'High speed' to 'Full speed' in my BIOS due to some odd USB error stopping the system booting properly while the G19 was connected to a USB socket, and this as I said was sorted with a fast and easy (if your used to BOIS options) fix, that has had no real affect on my USB speeds at all (in everyday circomstances).

I stand by my earlier post at this time, if I experiance any problems you mentioned I will post back here.

Re: Where can I find a 1st gen G15?

yea i've read about it, but im running win7 x64 atm, so its not really applicable :/

i like jxf havent had a single issue with my G19, though i am always curious to know what is at the root of an issue. i have a suspicion that a lot of these issues will track back to ether single faulty componant in the keyboard itself, or perhaps some other common componant in certain motherboards. we'll probably never know, but i trust that logitech is hard at work trying to resolve any problems they can, and thats one of the main reasons i appriciate and enjoy my logitech products so much! :smileyvery-happy:

i've yet to have a single truely bad experience with any logitech product i've ever owned, and at this rate i doubt that i ever will.

stay sexy logitech ;D

I don't have 200 dollars to spend on a new keyboard. :c I will get a G19 in the future though.
