As it says on the tin; I've got an original blue backlight G15 and since installing the game panel software Windows Live Messenger hangs after a short period of activity; I think it's when it tries to trigger the sound for a new message. I had this same issue on my old computer (Vista SP2 32-bit) and hoped it would go away under Win7 x64 but it hasn't. If I kill the process and restart it then it behaves fine until next boot.
Messenger v 2009 (14.0.8117.416)
LGPS v3.06
also SetPoint 6.15.6, realtek audio driver v6.0.1.5798, skype v4.2.0.169
system is an ASUS G73Jh

It looks like it might be realtek related; I've installed the R252 package directly from Realtek (driver version 6.0.1.6194) whilst trying to fix some random behaviour in Supreme Commander and StarCraft II and since upgrading that I've not had an issue. My old computer was Realtek based as well. Strange it only affected me with the game panel software installed though...
