Can't get the button assignment to work

Just bought the G700 mouse and I try to adding a simple keystroke like CTRL+ O or CTRL +N to one of the buttons but nothing seems to work, I've been going over the UI 20 times , I don' tknow what I'm missing here

The most common problem with a macro is lack of delays between keystrokes.
