Re: Firmware update for G9x mice available here!

Hi,

I have the latest firmware on my G9x. V.1.1.

Two weeks ago I bought myself the "Razor Goliathus Speed Edition". It says on the box that the mouse pad has a "Slick cloth weave" with " Pixel-precise gaming" in which I thought it will resolve my Tacking issues, but it did not. At first I thought that it could be the picture on the pad, but then I moved it to the side without the picture and still the same result. Please tell me that I did not buy the mouse pad for nothing. I know that they said that the mouse works perfectly on a white sheet of paper, but most of the gamers out there has black mouse pads. Surely you guys tested it on black gaming mouse pads before selling the product. This is a gaming mouse pad after all. I got great faith in you guys. I don't want to use my old mecer mouse pad on my new mouse pad.

Thanks for the great products...(Still enjoying my G35 Headset.)

Logitech probably tested G9x on cloth pads, but:

1) You are using Razer cloth pad

2) Razer isnt Logitech

IMHO Razer cloth pads are as good as their other pads, which means probably crap. My G9x works good on Puretrak Stealth (its black, cloth). Worked pretty good on Roccat Taito (nano micro fiber something.. simply black cloth pad, really good one). So if your mouse works perfectly on white sheet of paper, issue isnt in da mouse. Buy another pad...

Btw. best is supposedly Icemat (currently its made by Steelseries, Experience l-1 or l-2). But its hardmad made of glass, so not for everyone.

Having a hard time finding an answer to this so I'll put it here.

Will this firmware work on the G9 Laser mouse? NOT the G9x but the older model? I have this exact jitter problem and it is maddening. Any help would be much appreciated!

i guess, they meant that this firmware is supposed to work with G9x/G500 models only, so, for your G9 i'd recommend you to update your device hardware through the SetPoint Device Options tab. you can still give a shot to this update though - i strongly doubt it can make any harm to your mouse.

Whoa! I didn't know about this firmware update, sounds like the pixelskippy problem I had with the G500 might have been solved by this! Hahaha wish I had known sooner, had the thing for over a year, but now I got a G9x.

The firmware is only for G9x, not G9 mice.

This firmware has been in production for all G9x for over two years now, so I will unfloat this thread.
