This is to be used on early production G9x mice to resolve a pixel walk issue seen at higher DPIs. This can also be used to update G500 mice experiencing this same issue, but the number of G500 mice that would need this update should be extremeloy low.
Undermoose - Yeah, there will be a couple of the older firmwares available at the distro: It just depends on which box they grab when it ships 
IsLNdbOi- Honestly, I don't know. Unfortunately some items have taken longer to ship than others recently, and sometimes we run into low inventory at our distribution center. G9x is low on stock currently though, and that is unrelated to the firmware.
