Well, the title says it all. I have a Win7 64-bit system and frankly, I hate installing Mbytes of software, without any real advantage. 1000Hz polling works just fine without it and I am content with 800dpi, but I do have one question here:
According to the user guide, the button beneath the "-" button serves as a reset dpi button. Without the logitech software this does nothing at all. Should it work this way? The increase/decrease dpi buttons ("+" and "-") work just fine, which is a problem for me, since I accidentally press them in FPS games and then havok breaks out. For some reason, in Battlefield 3 I am unable to bring back the original dpi...
Is this a bug or a feature? And if it is a "feature", is there any way I could fix the mouse resolution at 800dpi and get done with it? I wouldn't care if increase/decrease sens did not work at all after that, as long as there is nothing that could change the dpi from this setting... Again, I don't want to install the software bloat...
Any help will be most appreciated.

Well, after contacting Logitech Support, this is not possible. The only way to have the button reset dpi, is by installing LGS...![]()

Thanks for your question, cosmic. I came here to ask the same thing. And yes, I think it's a real shame the reset button doesn't work by default.
