[G400] Right click issue - doesn't hold 100%

Not really sure if the title describes it at all but I've been having the following issue with my G400...

I noticed when I started playing  Tribes Ascend that my right click will randomly stop working (I guess).  For example in Tribes; I use my right mouse button to jetpack.  At times...I could be jetpacking and my character will just stop jetpacking while i still have the right mouse held down (yes...with energy to jetpack..I'm not that dumb lol).  I mainly notice the issue in this game because...you constantly jetpack and have that key held down.

I've also had issues in SWTOR.  If I right click and hold down; I can spin the camera around.  Most of the time I just tap a click and move my mouse to change my camera.  Sometimes when I do this; the mouse will decide to spin itself wildly around completely changing my character's direction.  This happens randomly when I right click and let go -- and when I right click and hold down as well.

My current system: win7 that is up to date...I do not use any mouse software as I don't need it.  Just the standard mouse drivers.  I'd prefer not to install any software for the mouse if possible; but maybe it would end up using a different driver if I were to do that?

Both of these issues happen intermitantly and I can never reproduce the issues on comand so I'm not entirely sure what to do.

My original G400 had left mouse double click issues which had to be RMA'd.  This one is having right mouse issues.  I'm not entirely sure what happened to build quality because I still have an mx518 that is 5 years, works flawlessly and I brought to work.

I have the same problem in the same game (Tribes Ascend). I don't really know if this is mouse or game problem. Hmmm...

Re: [G400] Right click issue - doesn't hold 100%

I've noticed the right click being twitchy for me too, except in Battlefield 3 is where I notice it (perhaps it's happening in other software too, I'm just not noticing it).

I hold right click in Battlefield 3 to use the scope, however it has been zooming in and out real fast (in out, in out, in out) while I hold it. This is bad..

I don't know if it matters, but I'm on Windows 8, I don't recall it happening in Windows 7, although I would think this could only be caused by a hardware issue, not software.

I'll use the warranty if I have to, but would like to see what others have to say as well.
