G5 Gaming mouse + Battlefield 3 problem/Issue

I have come across a very strange problem with the G5 Gaming mouse and the New Battlefield 3 game. Apparently for some reason...when this mouse is on a mousepad, whenever you move the mouse around it will cause stuttering/shakyness. When you remove the mouse pad from under the G5...then the experience is smooth. It only seems to happen with this game as I have not experienced this with my other games. Could there be a fix or an update for this device or could fix be made ?

Re: G5 Gaming mouse + Battlefield 3 problem/Issue

actually, that problem made me go back and re test it with other games...and it seems other games do have that problem just no where near the degree that it does in battlefield 3. in other game it seems to still not be as accurate/slightly shake with a mousepad as oppossed to without......but in BF3 its just ridiculously bad to the point where it feels like you're going to get sick/get a headache,.

Re: G5 Gaming mouse + Battlefield 3 problem/Issue

I have the same problem! :smileymad: This sounds like it might be a logitech driver/issue. I have a g15 keyboard and g500 mouse. All the other games are fine but in Battlefield 3 it is SUPER SHAKY. I can move around using the WASD keys and jump around with no problem, so it is not the video card, but as soon as I move the mouse, either standing still or walking around, there is a alot of jitter on the screen. I have tried it on several surfaces with no fix! I am about to purchase a Razor just to see if it fixes it!!! Admins, please feel free to chime in.

Re: G5 Gaming mouse + Battlefield 3 problem/Issue

I have the same issue using a Logitech G15 and G500 mouse on a razer exactmat.

When I get in a tank I flick the dpi button to speed up turret speed but when I get out of a tank its unplayable.

By flicking the dpi down it does make it better which is ok unless you get out of the tank with an emnemy near by because you're dead before you can get the speed right :smileysad:

Another issue I had was trying to assign the mouses side buttons to the use of knife and grenades. I found it better to just close the mouse driver in the end and then it works much better.

Re: G5 Gaming mouse + Battlefield 3 problem/Issue

I'm having a lot of stuttering which i blamed on lag but I have a G5 and the sensitivity setting is set to low when I  press teh front left side arrow key.  I can map controls to the back arrow ( button 3 in battlefield 3) but not the other one. I wanted to use them for grenade and knife too.

Re: G5 Gaming mouse + Battlefield 3 problem/Issue

I've also got issues trying to assign the thumb-buttons on my G5 Special Edition. The back one works but the front one doesn't want to be assigned. Tried installing the newest Setpoint but nothing changes.

Another thing I saw was that if you use your dpi switch (up or down) in game, the mouse loses its setpoint settings, and only has three settings, as opposed to the five I have set up in setpoint.

Logitech needs to fix this, most people buying their high-end mouses are gamers and probably 40% of those play BF3.

If I can't have this functionality I don't really know why I have an expensive mouse to start with..
