G5 Issues

Hey,

I've got a G5 not under warrenty, recently it started playing up on my iMac (both windows 7 and mac osx 10.6) by disconnecting and reconnecting ever 5 seconds literally. However, when I plug it into my Macbook Pro, it seems to work flawlessly? I've no idea what the problem is, and it's VERY VERY annoying. If you could be so kind as to help me I'd be very appreciative.

Re: G5 Issues

Hello thecoreycolak,

Are you getting any messages when the mouse disconnects? Do you have multiple USB devices plugged in? I would suggest going into the Device Manager, uninstalling the mouse and then click on Action -> Scan for new Hardware changes. Also, have you made any changes to the PC recently before the problem started happening?

Kind Regards,

Re: G5 Issues

Hey,

There are no error messages what so ever, when it disconnects I only hear the disconnect sound, and the plug back in sound. I tried re-installing it, but the issue still persists. Also, there is nothing else plugged into the USB port. I recently Bootcamped my iMac, but the mouse one week prior disconnected similarly and all I did was blow on the port/connector and it was fine.

Thanks.
