G-series Gaming Mice

I have a G5 and a G7 that have the same problem: the side buttons are not working when I play WoW (World of Warcraft) but works just fine when used in other applications.  I tried all kind of things and looked up forums for answers without any luck.  Here's what I did:

1) In SetPoint 4.7 I create a profile for WoW

2) I change the setting of the side buttons (4, 5), the tilt buttons (6, 7), and the DPI buttons (8, 9), to Keystroke Assignment and assign a key to them (6, 7, 8, 9, 0, -)

3) I save the settings

4) Go to WoW and bring up the key assignment window

5) I make sure the key assigned to the buttons (6, 7, 8, 9, 0, -) are not in used

6) I tried to bind my buttons

5) Buttons 4 and 5 are not responding at all.  Buttons 6, 7, 8, 9 can be binded just fine

Please help... this is driving me nuts

Hi,

Have you tried assigning them to the 'Generic Button' function and binding them ingame? That works for some games.

I had the same problem and my was being caused by Xfire.
