G-series Gaming Mice

When ever I click with my G500 I notice it feels like im clicking twice. It just recently started doing this recently. It was a nice clean click but now it makes a weird clack sound. It will go for 30 minutes or so and then it will click normally for a a while then go back to the weird clicking. Any info on how to fix this would be great.

Unfortunately that sounds like a hardware defect in the mouse, likely with the microswitch. The G500 has a 3 year warranty so I would suggest contacting support in your region for a warranty inquiry.

Just get it replaced by a different mouse, G500 is like this it's a design flaw. It's a FLAW not a unique one time thing, i have had 3 of them and i am sick of it, the last one i had which is currently plugged in is doing this exact same thing and it's 2 months old. It is indeed the microswitch but since it's warranted i am replacing it with a different model. I have been told that G400 doesn't act like this. 

Just don't replace it with G500 it's just going to give you a headache within 6 months. If you ask me Logitech should have recalled this particular mouse back instead of having to replace them again and again for people. My local store knows me by name and it's weird to switch out mouse after mouse of the same brand it makes me look like i don't know how to handle a mouse.

the problem is logitech started using cheap chinese omron switches. japan ones are more reliable and have a better feel to them. if you're willing to void the warranty, you can buy some japan switches with P/N: SW502-ND from digikey and replace them with some soldering handy work.

Logitech really should be using these to begin with. even the G700 uses the chinese ones too, though I haven't seen any complaints about failures on those - maybe they just have better Q/A on the more expensive mice. since my G700 has developed 2 broken thumb buttons, I'll be testing the japan left/right click switches on my broken one while I wait for RMA.

also, while we're talking about switches, I wish Logitech still used real clicky switches on thumb and middle click buttons like they used on the old MX500's and G5's. they felt much better and less finger fatigue
