G500 left button registers double-click when clicked one frequently

I bought a G500 in July 2010, but recently when I click the left button once, it aways gives me a double-click reflection vert frequently. I am using a Windows 7 system and the setting is not "single click acts as double-clicking". I searched and looked through the old messages. It seems like it's a hardware problem, right? I have tried by using it with different computers/with different USB port, etc. All of those don't work for me. What can I do with it? The warranty is 3 year limitted. Could I ask for a replacement? Where could I do this?

Thanks,

Hao

Hi hao,

It does sound like a hardware issue with your mouse. Try contacting customer support in your region.

 Hi hao,

Yes this is a hardware problem, i have had 3 of these G500 mice and as much as i love it this will happen to it frequently, It has to do with the spring inside the mouse and Logitech is just to **bleep**ty to admit that there is something wrong with the product. If you surf these message boards you can notice that so many others have the same issue yet the staff support always says "it doesn't sound like hardware problem have you tried shutting off your computer for a day and go out and play, maybe the elfs will fix it". The support is a joke, i use to love Logitech but i think i will be searching for a replacement mouse that comes from a company that cares a little..

This issue has been since 2010 with the G500 according to the posts here on these forums and yet Logitech hasn't even begin to think about calling in those mice from stores and getting the issue fixed.

Re: G500 left button registers double-click when clicked one frequently

Yep, seems that G500 have this problem, but I think it's hardware.

I bought one in October 2011, and after 3 months left button started to "doubleclick" by itself. I've asked local reseller, they changed it immediately, that's good.

What is bad - new one G500 after 4 months started to behave same. Really, I don't know what to do.

I've checked that have latest software installed. Reloaded settings. Turned it off and on.

Yes, I can ask reseller to exchange it again, but what will happen after 3-4 months?

I have the same problem with G700, MX Revolution and VX Revolution. With older mouses and I use them since first came out I did not have anz problems, I have them all still working.
