G700 2 things wrong under warranty

G9 button (and the other 2 have a terrible response feeling)  has no physical response, no click sensation no nothing, the ratchet action is too slight.. The battery life when I use is terrible, the majority of the time its wired. I dont mind the limited wireless time since ima gamer and I know better. Im extremely concerned w/ the no G9 physical response. Because I cannot go w/o mouse for an extended period is it possible to have a replacement send and my current item sent back?

Original order from NewEgg.com on 7/28/2011

I have been a die hard customer since my MX510 which I still have and think a renewed solder would fix its current probs

Please dont downplay my loyality I wanna give this g700 a perfect 10 but I thought Id speak up before I had no decision. Ive looked for the same mouse in stores to test the physical response for G9 (and the other keys) and have have found none outside of my purchase.

Im not looking for community support

Im trying to report this before contacting the dev mfg

Re: G700 2 things wrong under warranty

Hi N3wB,

The G9 button should have the same response and feeling as the G8 and 10 buttons next to it, if it's different I would suspect that it is defective. In that case you can contact customer care in your region for a warranty replacement.

The battery time is rather low compared to other wireless mice because the mouse has a gaming grade laser, but it should still be lasting a few hours. You could reduce the polling rate on the mouse to help the battery life, but you would be losing the advantages of the gaming grade laser.
