mfindley - That's great to hear! The G700 has a very robust firmware that allows the mouse to effectively control the behavior of each button on the firmware level.

Others experiencing this problem: There's a "quicker" way to test for this: Try going into the software, click on the "Device Options", hit the 3 checkboxes to "restore to default", then click Restore then Apply. This will flash the mouse with default settings. Try the button behavior on different profiles as well. (These steps aren't as 100% reliable, but they'll form a baseline quicker if there's a button issue)

i just got my g700  an hour ago, and my g5 and g6 keys do not work. really disappointing.

I havent tried it yet on another computer if that is what you mean, though i have tried setting all profiles to default, wired, unwired etc.  I will try another computer and update on what happened.  Right now for reference though im running windows 7 64 with the latest setpoint software.

Ok tried on another 2 computers both running winxp 32.  has the same problem, buttons g5 and g6 are not working, unfortunately did not solve anything

Then contact customer support. They should be able to resolve this quick then

Is there a known fix for this yet? Logitech software for mice is terrible. I always have some issue with it. I upgraded from g5 to g700 because I wanted more buttons and my g5 and g6 button doesnt work either.

Ive tried everything. Reinstalled 4 times. Tried it wireless wired. Two different computers. I tried to reset the defualt profiles like 16 times. Nothing works. What crap.

And why in the hell wouldnt you guys add a module to the g13 g15 software to set g keys for this mouse? Why the hell is it a completely different macro program. Way to modularize. Your software is utter crap.

I had to send the mouse back, wasnt able to resolve the problem through software.
