@Yorgos
That isn't normal with this mouse, your mouse probably has a manufacturing error or it crashed into something while shipping, you should contact logitech support instead of using the forums and you'll get a new working mouse.
Greetings,
Melvin.

thanks for the info MelvinV
I took my friend's logitech m185 wireless mouse, it's a 10 euro mouse and I drawed something to compare them.
everything is on the same surface and both mice were connected without cables(m185 is only wireless)
here is the picture

romanrogue wrote:I just got this mouse yesterday and after testing it out, (by the way I did not read all 11 pages of this thread, so if this has aready been adressed, my appologies) I noticed that when trying to do a "small mouse movement" I had a tendency to just move the lower half of the mouse. Due to the size of the mouse, I was not moving the whole thing slightly, I was rotating it. I think this may be what is causing the problem for most people, if you rotate the mouse, the pointer seem to stick, but its really you just not moving the mouse. The design of the mouse places the laser up towards the top (under your fingers vs under your palm) so moving the bottom of the mouse does nothing. Hope this helps ^^
This is exactly what I thought when I saw the placement of the laser, but the problem isn't related to hand positioning and movement. I only have the problem in wireless mode, but in wired mode it picks up the tiny movements regardless what portion of the mouse is moved, and it generally just feels smoother with smaller movements in wired mode. I can't reproduce the problem in wired mode, but in wireless mode I can producethe problem 95% of the time. I just got this mouse and I have:
SetPoint 5.46.10
Control Center Version 6.32.7
Driver Version 5.33.14
Firmware 22.37
Checked for updates, says they are up to date
Checked for firmware updates, says they are up to date
Is there a fix for wireless mode yet? Seems like they claimed they had a fix a few posts back, but still quite a few stating the problem hasn't been resolved and the Logitech rep has gone missing.
Mini Review:
+ Nice fit to hand
+ Amazingly smooth tracking in wired mode while gaming with a high polling rate and dpi
- Battery drains rather quick on highest settings while gaming
- G4 button feels mushy
- Stiff wired cable makes it hard to use in wired mode, it literally makes it feel like you are playing on a compeltely different sensitivity having this thick cable drag around on the desk slowing your movement. You will have to make a dpi profile for wired mode, lol
- Software is lackluster, can't even turn off hyper scrolling automatically when a game is launched. Are you serious Logitech? I could do this with my Logitech MX Revolution mouse - a non gaming mouse! Macro options are very weak, can do better stuff with 3rd party software.
- The material on the sides of the mouse is awful. It feels good, but it makes your hand start sweating within 2-3 mins of use in a warm room. Once your hand starts sweating, this materials seems to soak the sweat into it, and it makes it feel moist to the touch, which makes the material slippery! This is awful for a gaming mouse, especially long gaming sessions.
- Unacceptable tracking issues in wireless mode, considering this is advertised as a wireless gaming mouse
If the tracking issues were fixed, I would give it a 3.5 out 5, at the moment it's a 1.5 out of 5. I think I'm going to be returning this one.

RMA your mouse, it's broken, has a manufacturing error or something else.
About battery life, it's another error with the software, they calibrated it with normal AA batteries, not with NimH rechargables.
Just let them run dead a couple of times, you'll be suprised how long they last.

I don't think this is related to a manufacturing error as it's been reported here by quite a few people. Even typing the problem "g700 small" into google completes the suggested phrase "g700 small mouse movements". Some even reported having it fixed with the driver update in this thread while others reported the update didn't help.

This could be true, perhaps even 10% of all the G700's out there suffer from this.
Just RMA (as many times as needed) until you get a working G700.
The first one I got was a proper working one and I'm very happy with the mouse expect for SetPoint, but there are workarounds.

Hey everyone, now I did not read everything in this thread, but did a quick look over. I am having the same annoying twitchy small movement issues that makes me want to throw the mouse out the window. After searching and only finding the same answers you all have that seem to only improve the issue slightly.
After sleeping on it I decided today to try something different so here settings and this made a SIGNIFICANT change in the mouse movement. My mouse is now smooth and the games I play BF3, BF2, CS, Crysis, etc... now have very smooth mouse aiming and pinpoint accurate on small objects and targets. Again, not saying this is a fix, but helped me and if someone has already mentioned this I apologize for wasting your time.
-Open setpoint and select mouse and then the profile you use
>Select "Pointer" from the left hand column
>Starting from the top of the pointer settings page
>Number of DPi levels = 5
>My settings are (from left to right on the X and Y axis) are;
X = 2300 2900 3600 4500 5100
Y = 2300 2900 3600 4500 5100
(My mouse has a DPi loop setting of the G6 button)
>Pointer Movement Settings
Keep the "Use OS native drivers for pointer speed and acceleration" and "Enable angle snapping" unchecked.
The two bars, SPEED and ACCELERATION, take all the way down to 0 (ZERO). Yes that's right, NO SPEED, NO ACCELERATION.
>Report Rate = 1000.
This basically relies only on the DPi settings and of course everyone may be different on the DPi levels. I personally like mine fast.
Hope this helps you as it did me.

That doesn't do anything for me, the problem still persists in wireless mode. I also got a chance to try the mouse on another computer and it behaves exactly the same, fine in wired mode, flaky unresposinve small movements in wireless. Going to be filing for a return for a refund and looking at the other major brands.

I've had the sticky problem for some time, wired and wireless. It's frustrating that such an expensive mouse could be so incredibly awful. And there doesn't really seem to be a confirmed fix for it. I'm so frustrated by this I'm pretty much determined never to buy a logitech product ever again.
Logitech, if you are reading this, thanks alot for hours of frustration.
