Re: G700 and small mouse movements

[ Edited ]

For everyone looking for a solution, whether they are gonna buy this mouse or not:

DO NOT BUY IT UNTIL IT IS 100% FIXED AND THAT EVERYTHING WORKS

Go for G500, G5, G9, G9x, Saitek, Sidewinder, whatever! Just don't buy wireless, its not finished, its not 100% working. Do not buy this mouse and then wait for a fix. If your sure you have a problem with your mouse that can be seen and proved faulty, send it back from wherever you bought it and get a WIRED MOUSE. The cable included with the G700 is also too big and heavy for a fast phased game or even for games like WoW and Heroes 3.

So far there have been:

Small movement problems (sticking)

Button problems (broken G-buttons)

Connection problems (spiking, disconnecting, FPS dropping)

DPI problems (no change from 400dpi to 5700dpi etc.)

Battery problems

So far the only good thing is that it fits your hand perfectly.

All I see is one unfinished half-designed mouse.

Btw, Logitech does not care if you use 100 euros for a mouse that does not work, how nice is that?

I think a lot of the problems could be from people not understanding the profiles. Probably thinking the buttons aren't working, but in a wrong profile, or screwed theres up.

I took all but one profile off my mouse, because I dont have a need for that many. Either way, I just set it to highest polling mode,  max gaming, and so far its great.

I was going to get a R.A.T 9, because I love heavy mice. But I am to much of an impulse buyer to order online. Instead I opted for m700, because everything else I have ever owned has always been logitech. Best decision ever so far.

This is my first wireless mouse, and it's been absolutely heaven.

Re: G700 and small mouse movements

And there i was, thinking that i finally found the perfect mouse.. running with software 6.20, my cursor will occasionally jump.. best way i can describe this.My mousepad is a razer goliathus (fragged) http://gamingweapons.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/razer-goliathus-fragged-edition.jpg  the battery gets drained really fast too. Also, someone mentioned some FPS problems, i had similar issues with a logitech device(g19)while playing World of Warcraft, also made a post about it.. i stopped using the G19 for now until it gets resolved, but could it be that the G700 also lowers FPS in games?

Trying to be civil here, but can some logitech representative tell us what the heck is going on with their devices?Lowering FPS in games? i mean.. come on..

Re: G700 and small mouse movements

I had similiar problem ... but, it's no longer there as I moved the receiver to a different USB port. Previously I pluged it on External USB HUB (Roccat APURI) ... pretty much OK now ... :smileyhappy:

Hello to all

Logitech when you will fix the problems of G700? It's an expensive mouse and should be perfect..

I have problem with the movement of the cursor. It lags sometimes. Wireless mode (i haven't tested on wired mode), 1400dpi, 500

Re: G700 and small mouse movements

The tracking issue reported here is a bit concerning me as some claimed the latest drivers fixed it and others says its still there, battery issues is something that I can live with and have the patience to replace the battery, but 4-5hrs is not reasonable.

Re: G700 and small mouse movements

I've had the same problems.

Mouse is awesome

But in shooters whenever I aim at something, the mouse moves to the left

so I can't play shooters.

I even did a Youtube video:

Re: G700 and small mouse movements

Are all the G700's affected with this issue or just a select few?

Re: G700 and small mouse movements

A friend of mine just got this mouse and I went over to this place to test it out since Im still waiting for mine to arrive and I can confirm that this mouse also exhibits this very same problem, We've tried different DPI's/Report rate, USB ports and even on 3 other computers. I believe all the G700's are affected with this issue and logitech should issue a firmware/SROM update to fix this one. Its quite annoying to have to pay $100 to beta test a product.. Problem is he cant return the mouse since he got it via amazon and had it carried over seas.
