G700 buttons not responding at start up.

I purchased my g700 a few months ago, and after the initial setup/learning period I had the mouse to my standards. It worked flawlessly up until a few weeks ago. What happens is I start my pc and the mouse pointer moves etc, but when I left or right click on icons or the start button nothing happens. I have to ctrl alt dlt, then it works, usually the first try. It was doing this every start up, regardless of I had it attached to the charging wire or used it cordless. Turnig the power for the mouse off then on didn't do anything either. Eventually I was so fed up, and my troubleshooting and googling hadn't got me anywhere, that I assumed some virus or game or program had been messing my pc up.

I did a clean install of windows 7 64, deleted every partition, and reinstalled all drivers etc. This fixed it! Atleast for one day. I hadn't reinstalled anything at this point however. Some observations I've made from the old install to the new install: each has two set point icons in tray, one for my mouse set up etc, the other seems to be for a keyboard. I don't have a Logitech keyboard. Another, I have an Xbox360 controller, a windows wireless keyboard. Besides these few things there is nothing I can think of that's causing this. Switching batteries etc hasn't helped either.

What am I to do? Ctrl alt dlt is annoying.

Re: G700 buttons not responding at start up.

Hello tylerryan79

Stop Setpoint from automatically running on start-up:

      -run msconfig

-go to the start-up tab and uncheck setpoint

      -restart the computer

Check and see if  you still encounter the same issue.
