Hi, I've gotten the G700 a few months back and it was working alright till recently when it frequently goes haywire. When I'm on Google Chrome, it highlights the browser bar 4-5 times automatically even when I'm not doing anything (the pointer doesn't go anywhere, but the browser bar keeps being highlighted), and the G1-G10 buttons aren't as responsive as they were before. besides that everytime i highlight a row of text it goes and highlight the browser bar for a efw times and unhighlights my text.
Sorry if I'm giving a vague description but I don't know how else to explain this. I tried bringing this to my reseller and when he plugged it into his com, nothing happens. but i just reformatted my computer a few days ago and this problem keeps popping up. I tried changing the battery, using it wired, wireless.. nothing seems to fix the problem..
Help?

Also, I noticed that the G700 was detected as a HID Keyboard Device, and it goes back working alright after i uninstall the HID keyboard drivers... but the problem is everytime I unplug and plug the mouse back in, my computer keeps re-detecting it as a HID Keyboard Device again, and the problem pops up again.
Using setpoint macro recording, I also realized that the frequent browser highlighting was because it was pressing F6 all the time without me touching anything. Is the mouse haunted or what.

The G700 enumerating as a USB keyboard as well as a mouse is normal and how the keyboard issues keystrokes without getting, ehem, punked by Windows.
Do you have any custom profiles programmed for this mouse? Does this problem occur if you set it to onboard memory mode and try a different profile?

Thanks for your reply! I'm only using 1 profile, but since you asked, I tried going through all 3 profiles to see what happens - but the mouse still manages to press F6 continuously even though I don't have F6 macro'd in my mouse in any of the profiles, and I'm not even touching my keyboard. It's kinda irritating especially when the mouse spams F6 when I'm trying to type!
Oh - and when the mouse is unplugged, the random F6 spams stop too. So I don't think it's my keyboard problem =/

No, but there's something amiss. Try this mouse on another PC and see what happens.

Hello, sorry for grave digging this post, but I have a simmilar problem in my G700, have you come to any conclusion?
At first I thought it was a stuck key in my keyboard, but then I noticed it was comming from my mouse. Every time I press a mouse button (any mouse button) an F6 keystroke is also sent.
On Firefox browser it hilights the adress bar making it difficult to type in text boxes or in the adress bar itself, clicking the start menu is also a trouble. Using auto hotkey I can see the F6 key presses beeing set.
The Keyboard alone is fine, and the mouse produces the same simptomes in another computer (my laptop) both running Windows 7 64bits. I have no profiles or proprietary drivers or software installed, just using the generic mouse drivers Windows 7 got automatically from windows update.
So is this a defective mouse, shoud I send it to RMA, or is there another solution?

Well I had to send mine for repairs, a new one was sent back so I don't think it's a problem that can be solved at home unfortunately.
The problem came and went, some times it was just fine, then all of a sudden it would start spamming F6 again, lets hope the new one no longer has the same problems.
