I'm having the same problem here, can't get the flashing red LED disabled when running the g700 in wireless mode without battery. Was wondering if you found a solution for it yet?

Maybe an option inside setpoint to tell whether you're using the mouse with a cable and witth/withought a cable.

I just use it wirelessly

Cool thing that there's only one AA battery inside, i was impressed. It's an epic mouse over all.

How do you exactly run it in wireless mode w/o the battery??

That's not possible as far as I know.

If you want the battery out you'll have to plug the wire in.

If you want to go wireless you'll have to keep the battery in

You didn't get what i meant... A mod said that it flashes red on purpous incase there's no contact with the battery, why not have an option inside setpoint to tell if you have the battery in or out when wired so that it wouldn't flash..

Ah sorry, yes you're right. There should be an option like that. The mod also said that, that's why I post on this thread in the first place, to check if they worked on it already.

i've had a g700 as a replacement for my broken g5 mouse. i didn't expect i would be gaming again but now with battlefield 3 i am gaming again. but i dont like wireless, the battery is empty really fast, its just to heavy also with it... 

so i am playing with the cable connected (i must say the cable is really bad  - very thick and just a little to short but ye its ment as a wireless mouse) but i also have the red light blinking. Im rather shocked there is no option to stop  this.  As this thread is from 2010! and the g700 is one of the logitechs top mouses, also the price confirms that..

i've had the red b linking covered up by diffrent pieces of tape, it does the job but cmon logitech....

Yeah, exactly. Im having the same problem, I have taken out the battery because its too heavy. Also you should update your firmware to stop these annoying blinking RED LEDs!

same here as everyone , got my g700 2day , great mouse , but also same problem , i dont mind having battery in it charging but it will overcharge , making my mouse so HOT ! 

Will also damage something i think if this continue , so i also had the battery taken out , i also prefer to use with WIRE anyways , but like veryone LED keep blinking , its not bothering me but it just dont feel normal , i dont like my things being so , so it really quite bugs me !

I am having a simular but different problem i have the battery in and the cable in but it still has the 3 flashing red lights
