G-series Gaming Mice

Had a wireless logitech mouse, earlier model, wore it out ..... decided to buy the G700 .... The g700 is soooo bad that I created a user name and logged on here to write about it.....

BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD  times a million  mistake. This thing is crap compared to the earlier model. The earlier mdoel used 2 AA's bats. I purchased rechargables and got 1month+ from a single 2hr charge. The G700 comes with a single bat which is ALWAYS on charge ....

THe earlier model turned itself off, this one doesnt. The earlier model had good buttons ... this one doesnt. The earlier model felt right, this one doesnt. The earlier model clicked when the wheel moved so I knew exactly what I was doin, this one doesnt. The earlier model was simple to use, this one isnt.

I'd tell you what the earlier model was, but I used it for so long that all the markings are worn off, but it was one of the first laser mice logitech made.

Anyone wanna buy a cheap G700 ... I know one heading for the bin

Though I somehow imagine it will do little to distract you from your rage, you might be interested in a couple of bits of information.

First, the G700 will put itself to sleep.  It's not completely off, but it draws so little power in sleep mode that it might as well be off.

It does draw more power than 'standard' wireless mice, however, due to the fact that it is a gaming mouse. 

Second, you can turn on 'clicky wheel' with a toggle just below the wheel itself. 

I myself prefer the stepped scrolling, while my wife prefers the free spin.

The G700 is a fantastic mouse.  It is not without flaws, mind you, but it's certainly not as bad as you'd have it.
