G9 Laser not Working

I've had a G9 for a couple of years now. Great mouse btw. When I picked up my new computer I plugged it in with the addition of a Logitec Cordless desktop Keyboard EX110 and the Cordless optical mouse that came with the key board. So grand total I have a wireless mouse and board, and a wired mouse and board. About 2 weeks later my g9 stoped working. The optic laser would not turn on but all other buttons and functions work fine so I think its just the mouse. I ordered a second G9 mouse and after a couple weeks the new mouse is now doing the same thing.

I have a hard time believing that this is a hardware failure and suspect there is something going on with the Drivers. I have tried uninstalling set-point and the wireless drivers and have had no luck getting the G9 to respond.

Currently running:

Windows Vista Ultimate SP2

Intel Core 2 quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40Ghz

4gb ram

32bit system

Please if there is any additional info you might require let me know. Otherwise I guess if anyone could post Logitech's warranty policy

Re: G9 Laser not Working

What do you mean by saying that the laser is not switching on?

The laser is invisible to the human eye so its normal you dont get to see light emmiting from the sensor..

Re: G9 Laser not Working

There is no tracking from the hardware mouse to the on screen cursor. I hope this clarifies things
