I had wireless installed as in the receiver plugged in and cable taken off beforei start my PC , so when it starts its wireless, then i wanted to switch to wired , i just plugged in the cable and took off the usb receiver , but it wont work , my mouse cant move so i had to put back the receiver and it works , so meaning it was still in wireless mode.

So how i switch without restarting my PC ? ?

I had SetPoint installed and updated to the latest version

As far as I know, you need to keep the USB wireless receiver plugged in at all times. I believe the USB cable is just for charging, not for data. At least with mine, the G700 won't work without the wireless receiver plugged into a port.

Hello,

The G700 comes with a receiver extender cable and a Charging/Data USB cable, the Charging/Data USB cable should not be connected to the receiver extender cable. You should be able to connect the Charging/Data USB cable and leave the USB receiver plugged in to the computer.

Uh yes that i know usually when im using wireless when my battery is low i will have to just plug in the USB and charge and just continue playing , but i have to had the USB Receiver plug in too 

My question was that , cant i just instalty switch to wired mode without restarting the PC ? As in now using wireless and i just want to change it to wired , without restart

I know that from wired to wireless i can do that but i cant from wireless to wired =(

I'm trying to understand what you're asking. Are you leaving the wireless transceiver plugged in at all times? You're not trying to switch them out, right? You're not unplugging the transceiver to plug in the charging cable, correct? If you leave the transceiver plugged in at all times, you should be able to connect / disconnect the charging cable from the mouse at will. At least that's how it works for me with my G700 on both Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Yes i know that but what if , NOW i currently using WIRELESS , then all sudden i want to just change it to WIRED , as in taking out the RECEIVER , which its no longer WIRELESS , i cant do that , if i take it off it will instantly malfunction well just not working , i must have my RECEIVER plug in. 

If i wanted to change it completely to WIRED , without the RECEIVER , i had to RESTART MY PC hurry take out the RECEIVER before my PC starts up then i only can become 100% WIRED and no longer WIRELESS

But from WIRED to WIRELESS there's no need , i can just plug in the RECEIVER and take off the WIRE

So my question how to become 100% WIRED no longer need the RECEIVER but without restarting my PC ? ?

You can't. You should leave the receiver plugged in at the same time as the wire. They should both be plugged in. If you need the wire, plug it in while the receiver is still plugged in. If you don't have enough spare USB ports to use both, you'll have to reboot each time you want to switch.

SO, let me lay down the truth:

• G700 is a WIRED and WIRELESS mouse (In fact, I am currently using a G700 without the USB receiver attached)
• The USB cable that comes with the mouse can be used for both data and power
• If you use the USB extension cable with the USB charging cable plugged into that, that can cause problems. Plug the charging cable directly into your PC
• If you're having a problem where the mouse isn't working with the USB cable only, plug it into a different USB port: You're likely having a USB enumeration issue.
• You can hot swap between the mouse's receiver and cable, as long as you aren't having other USB issues. When you plug in wired the transition should be immediate, but when you unplug the wire and go to wireless, there may be a sub-half second switchover period.
