G-series Gaming Mice

The last few mice I have gotten from logitech have all had the same problem whether it is a cheap 10 doller mouse or my new g-5.So far the only answer from logitech is to throw new hardware at it.we'll I like free stuff but if it don't work any better then the last stuff why bother?The g-5 which is supposed to be for gamming changes speed at will.Mostly but not linited to when I start or quite a game or at random even somtimes and no it is not my finger hitting the button.Any help or explanation of why this is not being fixed or a fix would be greatly appreciated.

It could be a software conflict; do you have any other mouse software installed on your system?

No not that I know of anyway I just have setpoint and the standerd mouse properties in control panel no other mouse is installed and setpoint picks up yhe g-5

Hi,Thanks for taking time with this the # is R-996-000007 Areplacement is already on the way however I am far from comforted that it will solve my problems. I guess Microsoft just can't make a computer work right anymore.

As I suspected the new G-5 is no better then the first 1. Two days after I hooked it up I have the same problem.The new #'s areP/N832485-0000

Which versions of SetPoint have you tried using with this mouse? Also, does the speed changing happen in all program or just in some sepcific ones?

The one that came with the first mouse was very old so they said throw it away got 4.72 now.new one shipped with 4.0again an older driver.

Hi,

Does this happen only with certain games? If it does, it could be a game-specific issue. The fatc that this has been happening with multiple mice indicates that this is highly unlikely to be a mouse-related problem.

No it even happens on the desktop and like I said this is g-5 # 2 I'm on and the logitech mouse I was using befor this was even worse it would move on it's own wich made gaming close to immpossible.I have had these mice on other computers and it does the same.
