Hoping someone can help me figure out the issues I am having with the G700. While playing BF3 I cannot left click to shoot, now exiting onto Windows desktop (win7 64 Ultimate) left click works to close windows, and dialog boxes - but just within the game it does not shoot. I checked all the bindings in game and everything seems to be setup properly (I can even re-bind shoot to LMB) but in game it doesn't shoot.
Now this is the second issue I have had with this mouse, initially I as having problems when I disconnected the mouse USB cable and I could not left click to close out any dialog boxes until I plugged the USB cable back into the mouse. Now the strange thing is when the USB cable was disconnected the mouse pointer worked, just I could not click to close the dialg boxes.
THis has me all baffled, so when I get an opportunity and do some really extensive troubleshooting I will attempt to come back and elaborate. In the meantime can someone else post and let me know if you've had similar problems with this mouse?
Thanks,

I have the exact same problem, when I disconnect usb cable from the mouse, the left button stops working but only on dialogue boxes. I can left click other things such as windows start menu and can right click just fine. I also plugged in the extender cable for the wireless receiver and placed it about 1 ft in front of the mouse, although it seems clear its not a connectivity issue

It sounds like it could be a profile issue to me.
I've had issues in the past with profiles switching when I enter a game or unplug the USB cable (since it can swap profiles to a 'power saving' mode when you do so).
You might want to check if it's using the same profiles plugged in and unplugged, and if not, check to see whether the unplugged profile has an issue with the left mouse button.
